Naga Monument in Nakhon Phanom
An important attraction not to be missed if you visit Nakhon Phanom. Near the walking street and on the riverside. The statue is 7 headed Naga which is a river serpent spraying water. I went in early August and it rained so the photos are not bright enough. The walking street starts on Friday. I think they walk on Saturday and Sunday too. It’s a lively area for family gatherings. You can see the underground small bazaar here right next to the statue. On the other side of the street a few steps away is a traditional market. Across the river is Laos with the town named Thakhek where you will see the Naga Statue with a different shape and looks more impressive. The river crossing is for Thai and Lao citizens only. Other nationalities must cross by road. Bus connecting Nakhon Phanom and Thakhek runs 4 times a day: 9:00, 11:30, 14:00 and 16:30. Ticket costs 70 or 75 Baht depending what time you go and they charge overtime fee 10,000 Kip if you arrive in Laos on weekend or 6-8am or 4-10pm. Bus takes about 90 minutes. Going back to Thailand might need more than 2 hours as clearing immigration takes longer.

Stunning scenery from the top!
Wat Tham Pha Dan is obviously a sacred religious place which is located on the top of the mountain in Sakon Nakorn province in North Eastern District of Thailand. The temple is surrounded with stunning bird-eye-views from the top. The areas are mostly covered by trees so there will be many spots where you can enjoy the breath-taking scenery from mountaintop. For those who are into Buddhist Naka Mythology, this is the place you must pay a visit when you get a chance to Sakon Nakorn. You will also find a golden pagoda standing on a top of a carved lying buddha image. The replica of Buddha's footprint is found up there too.
Personal vehicle is not allowed, however, mini truck service from the foothill is available with 20 Bath fee per person.

Family bonding, shopping and Food ?
This is the place for you. Children will definitely enjoy running and playing while the other family members can do their shopping.
Food is not a problem you'll have enough option here. Perfect for your budget you can get food for just lessthan 50 pesos.
Our family always had a great time specially for family gathering and simple occasions.
I also really love the architectural design of this building which I wanted to highlight. This is my favorite part of this mall .The open area where the ambiance are refreshing because of the skies and plants.

Every day is a different experience. Time is moving so fast without realizing it.
Children will never be a kid after many decades and this will just turn memories.
Let's remember that once in our lives we been in their shoes.
We don't want them to miss any opportunity to enjoy and have fun. The pandemic changes our lives for two years. As our country starting to open again for the tourist and lessen restrictions. Let's grab this opportunity to bring them outside and let them know that life is beautiful .And we should always focus on positive side. #play #life #bicol #naga #travel
