Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu
Liangzhu Archaeological site provides riveting evidence that Chinese civilisation started 5000 years ago which is earlier than previously thought‼️It was built in the same period as ancient Egypt. In 2015, the world’s oldest water system was discovered there.
The site is considered as an “outstanding universal value” to humanity. It was added to the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2019!
I visited the site at the very end of October and it was the best ever as the rice fields there turn yellow in autumn. I arrived at 15.30, which was a bit late as it closes at 17 BUT being there during sunset was MAGICAL! The site is vast, so be ready to walk with amazing views ⛰🌾✨
Entrance ticket 🎟: 60 RMB
How to go: Take metro Line 2 to Liangzhu station, then take a taxi or bus. #zhejiang#liangzhu#hangzhou
