Our order of quesadilla was nothing like what we had before, it was a quesadilla served with tomyam scrambled egg, ham, tomato and cheese, which was really unique. Worth a visit for the vibes!
Armenian Street
#penangtrip Quite possibly the most atmospheric and beautiful street in George Town. It's narrow, very popular with tourists and filled with colourful shops and cafes. Lots of street art here as well. You basically can't avoid if it you're here.Touristy place with not many stores. Was expecting the street to be a long stretch but was actually short. There are murals that I see many tourist hunting for pictures with but it was nothing special. Only plus side is that there are some pretty nice cafes near the street. Otherwise, the visit to this street can conclude in less than 20-30 mins.

#penangtrip Hindu temple in Penang is a must visit.
After climbing 513 steps, I reach the main temple. I am very impressed with the architecture of this Hindu Temple.
From here, I can enjoy the marvelous panorama view of Penang Island.
The Grab driver advises me to visit the temple at night. With the colorful led light, the temple will be much more attractive.....
Bats Cave Temple
#penangtrip If you are heading to Penang Hill, pop by this small temple for a quick visit. There is a small bat cave inside the temple. Opposite the temple there is also a small tortoise pond. The temple caught fire early this morning and was completely destroyed. The badly destroyed temple marks the end of an epic landmark for Taoist devotees to this majestic temple. The caused of the fire has yet to be ascertained.
There are no gimmicks involve, its an actual cave with life bats numbering about 100 odd inside the temple cave. Not a very big Taoist temple though, the shrine is said to be 200 years old and the housed deity is Tua Pek Kong (God of Prosperity) made from granite stone. Like any Chinese temple besides the main deity there are usually a number of other accompanying deities. Devotees far and near throng the temple praying for good luck.
For those intended followers who wished to be blessed with good luck will have to wait until the temple have been repair, if any repairs are to be carried out. Those who have never visited this temple hard luck, faith is not on your side until then good luck and may you have another chance to visit this temple again.
Sun Yat-sen Museum Penang
#penangtrip The 'Sun Yat-sen Museum Penang' is in a historic house and is a must for people interested in the history of China. For those that don't know, here is 'Sun Yat-sen' in a nutshell!
He devised many of his plans to overthrow the Qing Dynasty in the museum building. In 1910, acting on the immense support among overseas Chinese for the ousting of the Qing dynasty, Sun moved the southeast Asian headquarters of the Tongmenghui party to Penang.
Read more if you are interested, but a visit to this museum will greatly help, too.
Entrance is 10 ringgits and there is always someone on duty to explain and show you around.
Beautiful Burmese temple
#penangtrip The temple is organised into a few sections. Main praying hall with a giantic buddha statue. Deeper in, there is also a bell tower and a pond with koi fish.A monk will also avail himself if you require a prayer service. You can also hang notes onto a money tree.
Beautiful Burmese temple that shows a variety of Buddha statues from different parts of Asia, as well as the life history of Siddharta Gautama Buddha. Exquisite wood carvings as well on the ceiling.
Wonderfood Museum
#penangtrip What a fun place to be ! We had such a great time exploring the Museum, It's a very interactive Museum where you can try on the a chefs coat, pretend to pick up foods, most of these dishes are giant and they make for amazing photos. We spent so much time here and we loved every moment of it. It also gave us some insight on what to expect for dishes while we stayed in Malaysia. We had just arrived not to long before coming to Georgetown so we were still not 100 percent sure of the dishes and what to expect. This Museum shows us what to expect. I still often think about this Museum and remember how fun and cool this was. I would definitely come check out the Museum during your stay in Georgetown.
Penang National Park
#penangtrip Considered the smallest national park in the world, I hiked all the way across in a little over an hour. It was hot so bring a lot of water and food as there isn't a place to buy any at turtle beach. There were monkeys, huge water monitor lizards, and newly hatched greenback sea turtles! This was definitely the highlight. I would recommend taking the long boat from turtle beach to monkey beach. It's worth the money and the stop. Here you can purchase food and drinks, and swim in the water. Best day in Penang so far!
The Habitat Penang Hill
#penangtrip I saw many tourists turning back after seeing the ticket prices which is like RM 40. I think it’s well worth the price if you’re a nature lover. Not many animals as they say to observe but the walk in the wilderness is absolutely relaxing and the crest is just amazing. You can see langkawi from the top at certain times.
Only thing is half the places are closed. So it’s on your pathway but you just can’t go there.
The Top Penang
#penangtrip The tallest building in any city is usually worth visiting for the views you get. We were not interested in any of the theme park areas here and simply got a ticket to the top and back.
When atop a tall building the views are controlled by the weather so you can be lucky, unlucky or just OK, as we were. The sky was clear-ish so close views were clear but distant views not so.
It seemed a very popular place to visit and there are lots of attractions other than photographing the views. Standing on clear glass and looking down is a fascination for many.
There are too many steps in the lower floors before you can get in a lift. It cost us $25 (120 ringgits) each to go to the top.
Clan Jetties Of Penang
#penangtrip Chew Clan is said to be the biggest among the rest. There are quite a couple of shops along the way. There is a cafe as well. Instagramable places. Quite worth a visit. Free entrance, there is a toilet along the way.an iconic landmark of Penang, the clan jetties are a row of ‘boardwalks’ that extend into the sea, each flanked by houses presumably owned by members of the same surname clan.
each jetty was subtly different from the next, increasing somewhat in grandeur until Chew Jetty, the most famous of the jetties. walking down each jetty took a total of just over an hour, taking in the views of birds, the ocean and the architecture of the jetties. it’s a serene, peaceful experience that you can slot into any jam-packed day for some downtime!
Chew Jetty itself has stalls and a temple leading up to the jetty, while the others have stalls along the roadside. Note that vehicles regularly pass through these boardwalks, so be mindful!

🏞️ 🐟Park with Crystal Clear Waters🐠 🏞️
#penangtrip
Located just 5 minutes walk away from IKEA Batu Kawan, the Aspen Vision City Central Park is a great place for a stroll, jog or bike.
The park has lush greeneries and a beautiful lake with crystal clear waters, and is very well kept. You can even see koi and other fishes swimming about. The kids will definitely love feeding the fishes.
Occasionally during the weekends, there's a huge giant fountain that sprouts from the central lake.
Parking is very convenient as there's a dedicated parking spot.
This is a great spot to stop near the second Penang bridge for a photo with the whole family
