Historical Landmark in Malacca
The Malacca Malay Sultanate Palace Museum is quite long and the average exhibition concept here displays many historical stories in the form of infographics, dioramas and galleries. Most interestingly, you can see replicas of iconic palaces throughout Malaysia built on a small scale such as Istana Jahar in Kelantan, Istana Seri Menanti in Negeri Sembilan, Istana Maziah in Terengganu and many more. In short, this museum is a historic place in Melaka that is complete for a tourist to explore the old history of Malaya both from the point of view of culture, art and customs.
The palace, which was built in 1984, is made of wooden pegs, which is a well-known technique in the art of traditional Malay house carpentry in the state of Melaka. It's amazing, without even a single nail, people in the past could still build such a beautiful and unique building. This museum with classical architecture is very suitable to be visited at any time even at noon and don't worry, there is an air-conditioning system inside.

Through Lights and Colors
Along this river, you can see most of the interesting places in Malacca such as Dutch Fort, the Sea Museum, etc. In fact, along the river there are also many interesting murals painted on the walls of buildings. There is also audio played on the boat that provides information every time it passes an interesting place along the Melaka River.
The most interesting time to ride the boat is at night because it is less hot & the view along the river is also more exciting because there is an abundance of colorful neon lights that illuminate the river bank. The journey time is also quite long around 40-45 minutes.

Chill Cafe vibes : Kopi Mesin cafe
I never get bored to sit in a cafe or coffee shop, slow down my (busy) day and enjoy my coffee. I’m a sweet tooth and need a slice of cake that is perfectly match with my coffee. This time, I choose a Cafe located in the town of Ayer Keroh.
📍Kopi Mesin, Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
This Kopi Mesin cafe has friendly atmosphere and the space helps people be more sociable and lively. A lot of tables provided allow people to hanging out with friends.
👍🏻Good variety of coffees, desserts & cakes, clean toilet and i love how spacious & cozy the atmosphere. I tried out their German coffees & Hazelnut coffees with whipped cream and coffee cookies on top of it. A delightful Pandan Gula Melaka cake served with it.
Sitting in a cafe watching people walk by can be an interesting way to spend time. I enjoy my time here because it makes me feel as if I was a part of other people's life stories. That also helping me to think creatively for my writing.

Old and Antique themed Breakfast
One of the go-to place for breakfast in Melaka. 📍Sayyid Antique Cafe.
(Located in Banda Hilir nearby Jonker street and Melaka river. )
They served choices of local breakfast i.e Nasi Lemak, Laksa Nyonya, Soto, Mihun, Lontong, Roti Bakar and some kuih. Come early before 8am as the seating is quite limited otherwise you need to wait for table.
Foods all are tasty, authentic, adequate portion and price is good. I always looking forward to have a breakfast here each time I come to Melaka.
The owner are very welcoming and always update us the preparation progress of the foods if the cafe is full at that time. I cannot stop embracing the historical and antique items in the cafe. They really preserve and taken care of those antique and old items very well.

Explore the world with Joseph World Heritage-listed town “Dutch Square”
World Heritage-listed town, constructed between 1660 and 1700, the terracotta buildings showcase colonial Dutch style : the clock tower, the state house, the church all colored a memorable dusty red, with louvered windows and thick iron doors. Handed over to the British in the late 19th century, the centerpiece of the square remains a fountain commemorating Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Snap photos of the iconic structures and head into the onsite museum to learn more about the colonial era. A Sweet Discovery in Melaka
Nestled beside the enchanting Melaka Swan Garden Resident, our serendipitous encounter with Bon Bonne Pastry Lab was a delightful journey into the realm of French pastries. Each confection on display resembled a masterpiece, elevating the artistry of sweet treats.
The proprietor's passion for pastries was beyond description. Eager to share the intricacies of their craft, they emphasized the use of premium ingredients, highlighting that only the finest materials could yield exceptional desserts.
After savoring a slice at the storefront, we couldn't resist bringing some back to KL. The owner's thoughtfulness extended to detailed instructions on preserving the pastries, advising us on optimal consumption times for peak flavor. The communication between us mirrored the camaraderie of old friends.
The interior décor, a fusion of my preferred styles, created a welcoming ambiance within the glass-filled establishment. Surprisingly cool even during midday, it proved to be an ideal spot for leisurely teatime. The next time we visit Melaka, a return to Bon Bonne Pastry Lab is undoubtedly on the itinerary.
In conclusion, this hidden gem not only tantalized our taste buds but also provided a sanctuary for indulging in the finer aspects of life. For fellow travelers, Bon Bonne Pastry Lab stands as a must-visit destination, offering a symphony of flavors and a respite for the soul.

"Baba House Melaka: A Timeless Journey into Peranakan Splendor"
Hiyaaaa, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Baba House in Malacca, and I must say that the design is a stunning fusion of Chinese, Malay and European influences. The rooms are beautiful representation of the Peranakan Culture, and the museum provides an enlightening glimpse into their daily lives.
However, I noticed stainsssss on the pillow case/ bed sheets and hand towels during my stay in my room. We notified housekeeping about the issues and they promptly came to make the necessary change. This is unfortunately not a new issue as I’ve encountered similar experience in other hotels in Malaysia (even a 5 star hotel). I hope that the hospitality industry will prioritise cleanliness to ensure that guest have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Despite this, I still enjoyed stay at Baba House overall.

RIVER CRUISE MALACCA
Throw back a week ago
Malacca River Cruise
Finally got onto the boat and did a cruise of Malacca River. Could have done in the evening/night when the weather would have been more welcoming and cool - instead , it was in the afternoon - it wasn’t extreme but hot. Nevertheless, it was fun and exciting. Maybe, next trip, will do this cruise at night and see the beautiful night view of its attractions and to enjoy the breeze … ❤️ #malaccacity #malaccatrip #MalaccaRiverCruise #vacay
