Immerse yourself in the "Bali" standalone villa in Magic City for a luxurious SPA experience💆🏻♀️
In the midst of our bustling work lives, we, the hardworking individuals, find solace in the rejuvenating embrace of a spa. I have long yearned to experience the Indian Singing Bowl Sleep Spa, and finally, it has arrived in our beloved Yangpu district✌🏻.
Upon entering the standalone cottage🏡, one is immediately soothed by the minimalist yet elegant Instagram-worthy decor🩵. A quaint courtyard at the entrance is perfect for sipping tea and capturing beautiful moments. Ascending the spiral staircase in the courtyard leads to a Southeast Asian-style rooftop garden💐, reminiscent of the enchanting Bali.
The staff's warm and attentive service, complemented by delightful desserts and tea🍮, enhances the overall experience. This time, I indulged in the Indian Singing Bowl Sleep Spa💤, which was nothing short of blissful.
First, I chose my preferred aromatic essential oil and inhaled its fragrance. I opted for sweet orange🍊, which exuded a refreshing sweetness, evoking the essence of summer. After a brief freshening up in the well-equipped room, I changed into the provided attire👔. A pre-spa ritual set the tone for the forthcoming spa session. The masseuse's technique was professional, with just the right pressure, and she regularly checked in to ensure my comfort. Before I knew it, I was lulled into a peaceful slumber.
Upon awakening, I felt a significant lightness and relaxation in my body. I was also treated to some delightful snacks for a post-spa rest🥧. The entire experience was truly therapeutic💖.

Shanghai's Top Five Internet Celebrity Check-in Spots【Super•Collection】
1️⃣ Jianye Lane
🏷 As the largest cluster of Shikumen architecture in the Magic City, Jianye Lane has always been synonymous with classic elegance! Its geographical location is superb, nestled in the Hengfu Cultural Zone, the most well-preserved historical area. Surrounded by towering French plane trees, it offers a delightful experience of garden villas and alleyways under the shade.
🏷 As inscribed on the lintel of the alleyway, " "}1930" "}, Jianye Lane was established in 1930 and houses nearly 200 Shikumen-style buildings. The original charm of Shikumen, with its clear water red bricks, horse-head firewalls, and semi-circular arch doors, is still preserved. As the sun sets, the light casts a warm glow on the dark red bricks of Jianye Lane, radiating a vitality that transcends history.

Summer Water Fun💦: A Guide to Shanghai Maya Beach Water Park for Toddlers!
🏝 My teammates and I have frequented the Maya Beach Water Park numerous times, and the memory of getting stuck in the 🐍 Speedy Water Python due to insufficient weight is still vivid! We've experienced all the adult attractions multiple times, and they are truly exhilarating and thrilling! 🤩
💦 We have a water-loving creature at home, and this summer vacation, we brought her to the Maya Water Park for the first time! After returning from Singapore and Malaysia two months ago, her 👧🏽 skin has already turned quite tanned. Continuing outdoor water activities might just be a case of letting things take their course! 🤣
🏷️ Essential items:
1️⃣ Beach/Snorkeling shoes: No need to remove shoes when entering the water or participating in activities. Barefoot in summer is unbearable!
2️⃣ Towel: The park's changing room does not provide towels, so bring your own to dry off.
3️⃣ Swimsuit: We recommend long-sleeved swimsuits, as even on ⛅ cloudy days, UV rays can be intense!
4️⃣ Waterproof phone case: Protect your phone and take 📸 photos!
5️⃣ Sunscreen: A must-have! It's not the tan we fear in summer, but the pain of sunburn. 😣
6️⃣ Swim ring: Children's swim rings can be brought, but there's no place to inflate them.
7️⃣ Water gun: How can you play with water without a 🔫?
🧳 Locker rental: 💰 30 yuan, deposit 20 yuan. The changing room has 🚿 shower cubicles and provides shampoo and shower gel. You can place your change of clothes on the nearby bench.
✨ Recommended attractions for children under 120cm:
✅ Lazy River: A leisurely activity where you lie on a swim ring and float. Suitable for all ages. Life jackets are provided at the entrance. Swim ring rental is 30 for single, 70 for double, and 2 yuan/hour after 4 hours.
✅ Caribbean Beach: A giant wave pool, much larger than Sun Island's. Make sure to put a life jacket on your child, as the waves can be quite big! There's a wet water gun dance at 15:00, and a summer electronic music wave party at night (17:15/18:30/20:00). The music is very dynamic, and everyone gets excited!
✅ Havana Challenge: Located on the other side of the Caribbean Beach, this is an inflatable water obstacle course suitable for children to climb and challenge. We've played countless times!
✅ Magic Water City: This area is mainly a parent-child water play area with a sunshade. The play areas include Maya Camp, Happy Jungle, Deep Sea Mystery, Animal Kingdom, and Jumping Zone. There are many slides and water sprays, and children can have a blast!
✅ B.Duck Meet and Greet: There are many cute little yellow ducks in the park, perfect for children to take photos! B.Duck appears at the North Star Square every day (13:30/15:00/16:30) for photo ops with children!

[GreatWall] It has always been a cherished desire of our family to spend a night at the Peace Hotel. Fortunately, the approachable pricing of luxury hotels nowadays no longer intimidates us. This hotel is steeped in stories, with over a century of history, it has also become a testament to the city's modern development.
Here are a few points to note when staying at the hotel:
[One] Make sure to book the hotel's exhibition hall in advance. There will be a dedicated guide to introduce you to the precious collections owned by the hotel.
[Two] The rooftop terrace of the hotel offers an unobstructed view of the entire Pudong Lujiazui and the majestic river view where the Huangpu River takes a turn. It's truly unbeatable.
[Three] The bar on the first floor features photos and instruments of an elderly jazz band. If there's a performance, you can even dance to a tune.
[Four] The first floor of the hotel is luxuriously eye-catching, with a colorful dome, character wall carvings, and artistic glass. There are many details worth exploring, so be sure to look closely.
[Five] Breakfast is a must. The Shanghai-style dim sum in the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Remember, take a small amount of a variety of dishes, otherwise, you'll be full before you've tasted everything.

Coupled with the intelligent, lifestyle-oriented, and social young ecosystem advocated by ZHotel, it naturally integrates co-working spaces, bars, restaurants, and event spaces.
The wrought-iron vintage elevator at the entrance is very appealing, instantly transporting you back to old Shanghai a century ago. Haha, once you're here, let go of your age and socialize like the young folks!
The rooms are small, but in order to incorporate all functionalities into the limited space, every piece of custom-made furniture is used to its fullest extent. The desk and washbasin are combined, the mirror cabinet holds more than meets the eye, and the built-in storage cabinet is fitted with a full-length mirror. Shanghai Panlong Tiandi | Once an urban village, now the "New Venice of Jiangnan"
📍Nestled in Xujing, Qingpu, Shanghai, Panlong Tiandi is a newly established shopping district that opened its doors in the spring of 2023. Drawing on the local history and the charm of the water town, it has been transformed into a " "}New Jiangnan-style Ancient Town Tiandi" "}, swiftly becoming the most popular commercial circle in Shanghai in the first half of 2023.
📝The history of Panlong Town can be traced back to the Sui Dynasty, boasting a millennium of history. Flourishing due to its waterways, it is one of the five major tributaries of the Wusong River. Who would have thought that this place was once a declining urban village? Small factories, workshops, warehouses, and various old-style houses were gathered here. Today, the ancient town, known for its " "}Ten Sceneries of Panlong" "}, has been rejuvenated.
✨The " "}Xianghua Bridge" "} and " "}Fenglai Bridge" "} are the only two ancient bridges left in the town. After historical scrutiny, eight new bridges have been built, restoring the old saying of Panlong's " "}Nine Dragons and One Phoenix" "}. Additionally, based on the original " "}Eight Sceneries of Panlong" "}, the " "}New Ten Sceneries of Panlong" "} have been created.
📖The distribution of Panlong Tiandi is divided into North Market, South Market, An Market, and Cross Street.
▪️South Market: Mainly consists of the Yu Deyao Art Museum, cultural experiences, and various dining options.
▪️An Market: Primarily features trendy sports such as equestrianism.
▪️North Market: Mainly includes a parent-child center, boutique hotels, and community supermarkets.
▪️Cross Street: Primarily features historical buildings and some intangible cultural heritage creations.
✨Now, in the midst of the sweltering summer, it is recommended to visit after sunset to experience the unique night atmosphere of the water town. Moreover, during various traditional Chinese festivals, there are irregular themed activities and limited-time markets. A short weekend getaway here is indeed a delightful lifestyle choice.

Shanghai Citywalk | If you only have ❶ day and ❶ 📸
If you, like me, are visiting or transiting through Shanghai with only a day and a night to spare, yet wish to capture stunning photos that will dazzle your social circle, and experience a satisfying and comfortable business trip, I have some recommendations for you.
To immerse yourself in the bustling and romantic charm of this metropolis, I suggest you visit these five locations and stay at this particular hotel, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also photogenic.
🌳【City Walk Route】
Start from the Shanghai Post Museum, then to the Sihang Warehouse, Beijing East Road, Lihe Foreign Firm, the intersection of Harbin Road and Liaoning East Road, Waibaidu Bridge, the intersection of Dongchangzhi Road and Lushun Road, and finally back to the hotel, 'Shangri-La The Bund, Shanghai'.
🌳【Shanghai's Highlights Extend Beyond the Walk】
After a day of shooting and ticking off the photo checklist like a commando, work and travel can become stressful and exhausting. To truly appreciate the romance of Shanghai, one needs to slow down and give oneself a comfortable space for rest, work, fitness, and more. This balance makes the night more relaxed and enjoyable. My choice is 'Shangri-La The Bund, Shanghai'. It's not about the hustle and bustle of traffic anymore.
It's about a small drink on a summer night, a little tipsy.
It's about a gourmet dinner cooked to perfection.
It's about a suite with a fantastic river view.
It's about a spacious fitness area and a rare boxing experience.
It's about a swimming lane with a unique underwater sound system.
It's about the grand and luxurious Haipai design architecture.
It's about the warm and intimate hotel service.

Shanghai Travel Tips
1. What to see: Shanghai sights
Shanghai is bustling with a lot of activity and events round the clock. Naturally, there is plenty to do and suit all kinds of interests, especially if you are traveling in a large group. In Shanghai, you can immerse yourself in quite a few things. There is theater and art, there are lots museums, parks, iconic sights such as the Bund and the Pudong skyline, old water towns like Zhujiajiao, historic temples like Jing'an Temple and the Jade Buddha Temple, tea houses, and loads and loads of food and shopping options all over.
2. What to eat in Shanghai
Food is a big part of Chinese (and Asian) culture. If you are coming to Shanghai, you must have a plan to try to all the best dishes and different Chinese cuisines, because this city offers it all. The food in China is rich in history and culture.
The top things that come to mind of course, are dumplings and noodles, which are available in plenty. But there is a whole world of dishes out there waiting for you to try! Priority foods include the famed xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), Hairy steamed crab, hongshao rou (Shanghainese braised pork dish), the quintessential baozi (steamed bready buns stuffed with veggies or meats - perfect breakfast), scallion pancakes, and more. We have a detailed list of the top 10 Shanghai dishes that must be tried.
Vegetarians need not worry. Shanghai, and China, have a huge variety of vegetable dishes that are mouth-watering and very satisfying. If you see any eggplant dish on the menu, try it!
3. How to greet people in Shanghai
At social gatherings, it is ideal to keep it casual with a friendly Ni Hao (Hello) and smile politely. At business events or while networking, it is good manners to pass a polite comment on the appearance of the other's card, whilst tucking it carefully within the confines of your wallet. It is a good idea to take a large quantity of business cards with you, and if possible have the text translated into Chinese on the reverse.
Exchanging business cards should be done as politely and deferentially as possible. Take out your card, bow slightly, and present it with both hands. They will probably reciprocate in a similar manner, most likely holding their card English version uppermost. Don't get flustered if, when meeting a group of people, they start clapping when you arrive. This is simply a form of greeting and you may respond by clapping also.

Shanghai travel guide
1 Download all the apps you need and verify your accounts (Wechat, Alipay) before you board the plane. Internet in China has major firewalls that will prevent sites like Google and pretty much most international apps. Even if you have international roaming, the connection is not the best. l walked away from some eateries because Wechat just doesn't load sometimes.
2 Get international roaming from your telecom provider. Trying to get a Chinese number/ SlM card is a pain and once you do have a Chinese number, you probably cannot use most international apps like Google unless you have VPN (which isn't very reliable sometimes).l could use IG and whatsapp with international roaming, and l didn't need VPN.
3 Bring your portable charger. Everything happens with your phone. If your phone runs out of battery, you are pretty much dead.
4 You can get a transportation card at the airport to take the metro and buses. l highly recommend getting it because my Alipay wasn't working at the airport when l wanted to get a train ticket.
5 While China has resumed the 15-day visa-free travel for Singapore you still need to complete health declaration when you arrive at the airport and when you depart. l took China Eastern airlines and there were QR codes at the counter when l checked in. The stewardess onboard will go around with their devices to remind passengers to fill in the health declaration as well. Keep an eye out for those!
6 Once you are done with filling in the declaration form, screenshot the QR code generated, you need it when clearing the customs.
You will also need to fill in an arrival card, the airlines will not give them out. You can get it at the airport when you arrive.
Journey of 520 | Experience a picturesque urban vacation
The Hilton Hotel at Shanghai Hongqiao Xiangyuan is a beloved establishment for us. Its proximity to Hongqiao Airport and convenient transportation make it an ideal choice. My husband and I often choose to celebrate our anniversaries here. Recently, we learned that their lobby restaurant and executive lounge have been upgraded, transitioning from a business hotel style to a more urban leisure vibe. Hence, we decided to revisit this hotel on the special day of May 20th (520).
🏨
On such a special day, staying in an executive room adds a sense of ceremony. The executive lounge, located on the third floor, is where check-in for the executive rooms takes place. The newly renovated lounge offers a cozy leisure environment. In addition to beverages, afternoon snacks and small meals are also provided. Booths are available for guests who require a private space for discussions or chats.
🏷️
Upon entering the executive room, we fell in love with the large windows and transparent space design. The room features wooden flooring and furniture, complemented by Art Deco-style metal decorations. The atmosphere is both comfortable and luxurious. Our favorite part is the room layout, with a dressing room on one side opposite the bed and a bathroom on the other. The bathtub faces a large floor-to-ceiling window, providing an incredibly relaxing experience.
🫖
In the afternoon, we visited the garden of the "Hujiang 88" restaurant, where a set of garden Longjing afternoon tea was waiting for us. This afternoon tea set offers a unique blend of Japanese visual and taste sensations. The combination of avocado sushi and mentaiko is particularly special. The pairing of desserts and tea is sweet but not cloying.
🌃
In the evening, we dined at the Haiyue restaurant inside the "Hujiang 88" restaurant, tasting delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Pan-seared tuna paired with Niçoise salad, served with a specially made sweet and sour tomato sauce and olive oil, was refreshing. The large slow-cooked octopus leg paired with potatoes was rich in texture. The Spanish paprika braised beef cheek and porcini mushrooms were tender and chewy. Finally, we had a satisfying Italian black truffle ham mushroom pizza and seafood pasta. It was an utterly satisfying meal!
🍷
When we returned to the executive lounge for a break, it was already evening. During happy hour, we could enjoy unlimited wine. As we sipped our red wine and reminisced about the past, we felt tipsy, satisfied, happy, and nostalgic. We had an unforgettable and wonderful 520 holiday.

Few in Shanghai are aware of the existence of the "Vault" Museum in Xintiandi.
🧚♀️Nestled near Xintiandi in the heart of Shanghai, there stands a serene and understated old building that encapsulates over a century of Shanghai's tumultuous financial history. This is the lesser-known Shanghai Bank Museum!
🏠The edifice, which served as the Shanghai Lawyers Association before the liberation, is now the first financial industry museum in China, sponsored by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
💰The museum spans nearly 4,000 square meters and showcases over 5,000 precious artifacts from financial history, making it the richest and most diverse financial industry museum in the country.
📽️The museum is spread over four floors and is divided into three main sections. It follows the narrative of China's modern banking history, with numerous large-scale scene restorations, sculptures, paintings, and other artistic creations vividly recreating the scenes of the time.
‼️Highlights include:
🚪The eye-catching exhibits in the hall, including two iron doors and a vault door that were removed intact;
📠The museum's treasures, such as an accounting machine that resembles a typewriter, Shanghai's first ATM...
📟The Gongping Road Savings Office in Hongkou District, from the barred counter to the tables, chairs, and vouchers, even the floor was pried up and moved to the Bank Museum, authentically recreating the scene from the 1980s;
📻The scene of China's first ticket number, Rishengchang, with its exquisite carved doors and windows, and golden signboard, all replicated according to the old site in Pingyao;
🧮China is the homeland of the abacus, and in the money shop scene, there is a bronze sculpture of a shopkeeper holding an abacus;
🎨In the foreign bank exhibition hall, a bronze model of HSBC and a touchscreen are placed on a white pedestal in the center. The top of the hall features a painted glass installation that showcases the mural of HSBC's dome;
🏛️The exhibition area of the Yokohama Specie Bank hall, known as the "First Hall of the Far East," with its magnificent marble floors and stone columns, and display cabinets resembling old-fashioned counters;
💰A meticulous replica of the "First Vault of the Far East" - the original vault door of the Central Bank of Shanghai, along with a set of safe deposit boxes. Some of the boxes are designed as display cabinets, and when people approach, the lights inside the cabinets will turn on, revealing the valuable items stored inside.
💯There is so much to appreciate, learn, and explore. I highly recommend that if you're visiting Xintiandi, take some time to visit this museum!

A heart-shaped garden on Hengshan Road and Wuxing Road, where hydrangeas are in bloom, and there's an angel fountain, exuding a distinct French flair.
🚩Xujiahui Park
Since the renovation of the children's playground, Xujiahui Park has become increasingly beautiful. Monet's garden, hydrangea cakes, and the century-old building are all very photogenic.
🎫Free admission
🚩Hengshan Square
Garden villas on Hengshan Road, where you can buy a cup of coffee and sit for a while, it's very quiet and leisurely here.
Hengshan Road is one of my favorite streets in Shanghai, perfect for a leisurely stroll in the afternoon. Along the way, you can enjoy the flowers and scenery, which is a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of Lujiazui and the Bund. It's a different kind of Shanghai, one that's laid-back and relaxed.
Outfit suggestion: The entire walking route is about 1km, so it's recommended to dress in simple and comfortable attire. As the weather gets warmer, make sure to wear light clothing and protect yourself from the sun.
Upon the Suzhou River, the Shanghai Suning Bellagio Hotel with an exceptional view.
It has always been said that the Bellagio by Suning Shanghai offers the best vantage point for viewing the Waibaidu Bridge and the Suzhou River. Looking east along the Suzhou River, one can see a century-old architectural complex on both sides, a steel bridge nearby, and the "four-piece set" of Lujiazui in the distance. Many of Shanghai's promotional videos are shot from this location. As a hotel connoisseur, I couldn't miss this opportunity!
The hotel is located on the east side of the Postal Museum, between the Zhapu Road Bridge and the North Sichuan Road Bridge on the Suzhou River. The main building is actually newly constructed, but at its core is a five-story building from the 1920s. A stroll around the guest room floors reveals the courtyard structure of the old and new buildings.
As an American luxury hotel brand, Bellagio's pursuit of design and quality is trustworthy. The interior decoration emphasizes the fusion of modern artistic sense and traditional elements. You can see grand chandeliers in the style of European palaces, elements of Chinese traditional painting, and a dazzling map made of mirror pieces. Perhaps the most famous feature is the "Secret Garden" ceramic flower wall in the lobby lounge, with 1,500 ceramic roses handcrafted by a Canadian artist over four months.
Previously, Yan Ni and her daughter took a series of mother-daughter photos in this public space, which was quite interesting.
PS: The Suzhou River sightseeing walkway is just outside the lobby lounge, perfect for an afternoon tea.
The hotel rooms start at 60 square meters in size and are well-equipped. Whether it's the furniture, lighting, or sofa bed, the quality is excellent, embodying the so-called "old money" style. The particularly extravagant vintage bathtub is irresistible for a bubble bath.
However, those planning to book should note that only the rooms facing the Suzhou River have river views. Also, about half of the river-view rooms have terraces, so be sure to distinguish the names correctly.
Breakfast is served at Café Bellagio on the second floor, in a semi-buffet style. The variety isn't extensive, but the bread is absolutely delicious, and the local Shanghai wonton soup is also excellent.
The hotel's Chinese restaurant, Jiafu No.1, is located in another 1920s building. The private environment and atmosphere are unforgettable.
The hotel is most famous for its unbeatable terrace views. One is the LAGO bar by Julian Serrano on the sixth floor, and the other is the rooftop terrace. It's the perfect spot to view the "four-piece set" of Lujiazui along the Suzhou River, with the Waibaidu Bridge in the foreground. The century-old architecture of Shanghai can all be captured in one frame, making it a location that photographers can't resist.
The most famous recent guests here are probably Jay Chou and the mother of the world's richest man (Maye Musk, mother of Elon Musk). I wanted to replicate their experience, but it seems the season is different, the terrace setup isn't quite the same, and the angle isn't quite right. Well, perfection isn't everything, as long as you're happy.

Shanghai, often referred to as the "Paris of the East," is a melting pot of Eastern and Western cultures, giving rise to its unique cosmopolitan charm. It is the once "ten-mile foreign concession" old Shanghai, and now the ever-changing bustling "Magic City."
During our journey to Shanghai, we checked into the newly opened MGM West Bund Hotel.

It is about a 45-minute drive from Hongqiao Railway Station and Pudong Airport.
Shanghai's Most Endearing Street—Fangbang Middle Road
🐲Fangbang Middle Road, nestled in the heart of Shanghai's old city, is a stretch between People's Road and Lion Street, fondly referred to as "Old Street of Shanghai". Its proximity to the City God Temple and the once bustling residences and shops lining both sides of the road, made it one of the liveliest areas within the old city. The once teeming Fangbang Middle Road, due to renovations, had become quiet and deserted, but it has now regained its vibrancy! The walls of the old houses are adorned with whimsical cat cartoons and giant feline aliens🐱, which are absolutely adorable!
.
🐲Image 1️⃣ showcases the entrance and exit of Yu Garden on Fangbang Middle Road. The dragon head statue here is quite cartoonish. I've transformed the photo to resemble a comic strip, to give a glimpse of how it would look if incorporated into an anime😆.

Instantly transported to Northern Europe, the old Shanghai's incredibly beautiful dreamlike garden mansion.
In 1927, the British Jewish tycoon, Mahler, commissioned the renowned Hua Gai architectural firm to design and construct a private garden villa in Shanghai. The construction of the villa spanned nine years, culminating in its completion in 1936. Today, this villa is known as the famous hotel and garden mansion in Shanghai: The Mahler Villa.
🕍 Nordic-inspired Private Garden
✨ The Mahler Villa is a castle-style mansion imbued with Nordic architectural aesthetics. The villa's roof is adorned with two unevenly elevated hip roofs, with relief decorations on the pointed roof and the upper part of the bay windows.
✨ The villa's design is a harmonious blend of Eastern and Western influences, featuring Norwegian-style spires, Gothic pointed roofs, Chinese glazed tiles, tiger windows, Mount Tai face bricks, and colorful floral tiles.
📷 Photography:
✨ The side of the Mahler Villa facing the main road offers excellent photo opportunities. The villa's entrance is flanked by a large flower bed that can be used as a foreground.
✨ Don't miss the vantage point from the pedestrian overpass opposite the villa, which offers a bird's-eye view.
✨ The main entrance is small, but once inside, you can capture the main building.
🌹 Note:
The Mahler Villa is a nationally protected cultural relic, but it is also a high-end hotel in Shanghai. If you wish to photograph the interior, you need to book accommodation, dine at the Chinese restaurant, or have afternoon tea (reservation required).

It has to be Shanghai! Surprisingly, this boutique hotel hides the charm of an old alleyway.
I took a trip to Shanghai in early winter and almost missed the excitement of the fourth Shangri-La hotel! This one is located in the Bund area, offering a true mix of tranquility and liveliness in the magical city at night. I thought it would be a simple replica, just a place to stay peacefully... But I was surprised to find that the design of this Shangri-La hotel incorporates a lot of the cultural heritage of old Shanghai's alleyways! They really put their heart into it! It is said that the entire hotel is conceived as an old Shanghai shikumen community~ You will discover that the public areas are connected by "courtyards" and "alleyways" Magnolia flowers, shikumen window frames, vintage red brick walls... Interesting details are hidden in every corner of the hotel 😌 The resting area facing the front desk is transformed into an elegant study... Carefully displaying many old objects from Shanghai, cameras, musical instruments, antiques... Even if you are waiting for someone or working on your laptop 💻, it doesn't feel boring! The rooms have spacious and bright floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooking the Sports Center and Taikoo Li‼️ And the vast view of the river... It's right on the Bund! Having such a view is truly refreshing‼️ I've also had afternoon tea in many hotel lobbies🫖, always just for the sake of taking photos. But the afternoon tea here is really delicious 😋 The flavors change, it's not overly sweet, and I even had a heartwarming white pear stew🍐, which is so comforting in winter❄️[Strong] The gym... it's really well-equipped and trendy! Various strength training equipment! Crossfit! Boxing ring! Swimming pool! They are all so appealing... Although I was pressed for time, I couldn't help but go for a run~ Every time I come to Shangri-La, it really revitalizes my exhausted body and mind‼️ I remember spending a little less on electronic music festivals and consoling my younger brother, saying, "We don't lack the experience of staying in high-end hotels, what we lack is the joy of being together." When I got tired of the same old high-end hotels... What kind of hotel can still attract you? Today, I finally have an answer... 📍Shangri-La Hotel, the Bund, Shanghai.
The most charming road in Shanghai - Madang Road
🌈Commencing from Jinling West Road in the north and extending to Xujiahui Road in the south, Ma Dang Road was once a tranquil avenue, characterized by its serene lanes and alleys. However, with the emergence of numerous shopping malls and its proximity to Xintiandi, Ma Dang Road has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving into a fashionable district.
🌈Located at No. 40 Ma Dang Road is Shangxian Fang (Figures 9️⃣🔟), a Shikumen-style building constructed in 1924. Named after the foreign academic group Shangxian Hall, the building exhibits an Art Nouveau style with a symmetrical facade adorned with simplified Baroque decorations. This location was once the stage for the passionate love story between Yu Dafu and Wang Yingxia.
🌈Opposite Shangxian Fang stands a red-brick edifice (Figure end), built in 1909 in a Neoclassical style. Initially serving as the Board of Directors building, it was later converted into Bile Middle School, and in 1998, it was remodeled into the podium of Zhonghuan Plaza.
🌈No. 4 Puqing Lane, Ma Dang Road, was originally the office of the "Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea". Established in Shanghai in 1926 by exiled Korean patriots, it is now open to the public.
🌈Nestled in Lane 458, Ma Dang Road is the Everbright Xuhui Tiandi (Figures 6️⃣7️⃣), designed by Jean Nouvel, a Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate and a French architect. This is his first project in China. The audacious Danxia red inner street, panoramic skylight roof, and approximately 2,500 flower pots for three-dimensional greening, all contribute to the mall's wonderfully crafted spatial dimensionality.

Strolling along the Bund in Shanghai at night, I've traversed Jiujiang Road countless times. To my surprise, it's equally captivating during the day! Not only does it boast a resplendent church, but it also features incredibly retro streets and offers an excellent vantage point for capturing the Oriental Pearl Tower! I recommend visiting in the morning when it's less crowded~.

⛪️Shanghai's Centennial Church, enhanced by a sea of flowers, becomes even more romantic.
Last summer was scorching 🔥, and the church located on the old street of Tang Town became a popular photography spot. I've been yearning to visit for a while, but its distance kept me at bay. However, this year, a sea of Persian chrysanthemums 💐 has blossomed next to the church, and I could no longer resist the allure!
The Tangmu Bridge Lourdes Church ⛪️ was established in 1895. Its white walls and blue-grey roof create an aesthetic and delicate architectural beauty. The main entrance of the church faces west, directly opposite the Tangmu Bridge, which has also been painted white, making it a perfect backdrop for photos. However, to capture the full view of the church, a wide-angle or medium focal length lens is necessary.
To the south, on Tangxing Road, is a 🅿️ parking area. Directly opposite is a vast, colorful sea of Persian chrysanthemums 💐. The combination of the church and the flower sea creates a picturesque, almost cartoon-like scene. However, there are no paths within the flower sea and the area is somewhat overgrown with weeds, so portrait photography can only be achieved by carefully selecting the shooting location.

Photographs of The Bund Citywalk, inundated with inquiries from friends after posting on social media!!!
Greetings! I am Xiao Xiao Tian, a former television host who quit after a decade to pursue my love for travel. I am eager to share with you the most delightful and photogenic places I discover on my journeys.
🌃 I have a penchant for Shanghai, a city that never fails to captivate me with its charm. Whether it's sipping coffee, exploring shopping malls, or simply observing the bustling streets, I find myself utterly enchanted. Despite my numerous visits, I regret not having captured the city's beauty through my lens more often. 🥺
I've heard that Nanjing Road and the Bund are teeming with people, and Wukang Road is always crowded with photographers. However, the areas near Suzhou River and the northern bank of Hongkou District are less frequented by tourists, offering picturesque and photogenic spots. 📸
😪 There's no need to rise early and rush. Wake up naturally, have a hearty lunch, and set off on your journey. Spend half a day exploring old western-style houses, churches, the Bund, and river views without retracing your steps. This is the ideal way to enjoy your trip! ❗️
📝 I recommend saving this guide and sharing it with your friends. Simply follow my suggested spots for a perfect check-in. You'll be the talk of your social circle! 🙀
🚇 Start at Tiantong Road Station on Metro Lines 10/12 and end at Hailun Road Station on Metro Lines 4/10.
Here are some must-visit spots:
📍P1: Shanghai Post Museum
📍P2: Zhapu Road Bridge
📍P3: Huqiu Road on South Suzhou Road
📍P4: Yuanmingyuan Road on South Suzhou Road
📍P5: Waibaidu Bridge
📍P6: Shanghai Securities Museum
📍P7: Century Square
📍P8: Changzhi Road and Nanxun Road
📍P9: East Changzhi Road and Jiulong Road
📍P10: East Changzhi Road and Lushun Road
📍P11: North Bund Riverside Green Space
📍P12: Harbin Road and Liaoning Road
⚠️ I recommend renting a bike to travel from North Bund Riverside Green Space to Liaoning Road. It's a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bike ride.
📸 Here are some photography tips:
▪️ A smartphone will suffice, but a medium to long focal length camera is recommended for a stronger sense of architectural compression.
▪️ Visit in the afternoon when the light shines from the west onto the Pudong side.
▪️ Keep in mind that it gets dark early in Shanghai, so plan your sunset shots accordingly.
🔒 The Bund Citywalk has extended an invitation to you. Remember to prepare for your journey.
❤️Shanghai City Walk | A Stroll on the "Sweetest Little Street in Shanghai"
❣️It's been a while since I last visited Hongkou District, and I've never even set foot on Sweet Love Road, known as the "sweetest little road in Shanghai". How can I live up to the title of a "Shanghai girl" without doing so? Today, I spent the day wandering around Lu Xun Park, checking in at various cultural venues.
🪭Check-in Guide:
At the Hongkou District Tourism Public Service Center, you can collect postcards for check-in. For specific details, consult the staff. There are multiple check-in routes available.
📍Location: Hongkou District Tourism Public Service Center, 2286 North Sichuan Road, Shanghai (at the entrance of Hongkou Park)
🚇Transport: Take Line 8 of the subway to Hongkou Football Stadium Station
⌚️Time: 09:30–16:30
🌟Walking Check-in Itinerary:
1⃣️W CAFE
Located at the intersection of Sweet Love Road, it's easy to spot the eye-catching lemon-yellow house from afar. There's a red mailbox📮 at the entrance, and the wall is filled with the word "love"❤️. It's a great spot for photos. I regret not discovering it sooner, but now there are fewer people taking photos, so it's a good time to visit.
2⃣️Heart-shaped Traffic Light
I naively asked the café owner about the location of the traffic light, only to find out it's just across from W Café. It's merely a decoration, and the lighting time is not fixed. The owner said it's "up to fate", and as soon as he finished speaking, it lit up, revealing three beautiful hearts❤️💛💚.
3⃣️Lu Xun Memorial Hall
The Lu Xun Memorial Hall is located in Lu Xun Park. No advance reservation is required, and you only need to go through a security check to enter. The special exhibitions inside are constantly updated, so it's worth a visit.
4⃣️Residence of Martyr Li Bai
Finally found the residence of Martyr Li Bai in the residential area. Enter through a small alley, remember to pick up your ticket at the kiosk at the entrance, and you'll find the residence at the end of the alley. There are volunteers checking tickets at the entrance.
5⃣️1927 Lu Xun and Neishan Memorial Bookstore
A bookstore I've been wanting to visit for a long time. I heard it was very crowded when it first opened. The bookstore is not large and is connected to the Shiteng Café next door. It displays various works related to Mr. Lu Xun. The bookstore is very quiet, so please keep your voice down when taking photos.
6⃣️Shiteng Café
This is the third Shiteng Café we've visited, and each visit offers a unique experience. The place is filled with the aroma of books. You can go upstairs to the second floor, which is also part of the bookstore. If you're lucky, you can get a seat by the window and experience a different side of Hongkou District.
7⃣️Cain Garden Café
Located in Lu Xun Park, next to the children's playground train, the white house looks very comfortable. The quiet environment is perfect for a peaceful rest. Enjoy a cup of iced latte, the rich aroma of coffee will invigorate your senses.
