#cny2024 We visited Melaka on the seventh day of Chinese New Year, and we planned a meetup with our cousin at this nice cafe called Heritage Flavours behind Jonker Street, nearby Casa del Rio. The interior has a very nice decoration of Peranakan style facade, with an air well in the middle decorated with colourful umbrellas, nice tables and chairs. This cafe also sells many traditional dishes such as Nyonya Kueh, Pai Tee, Belecan Chicken etc. This is a very nice place for afternoon tea gathering beacuse of the vibes which makes the place very lively. Very highli recommended and we will definitely come again.

Recently dined at Frying Fish Club (FFC) and was blown away by their Japanese-inspired fish & chips! Instead of the traditional cod or haddock, Frying Fish Club takes it up a notch by using shiro maguro, also known as white tuna. This choice of fish brings a delightful twist to the classic dish, infusing it with a fresh and distinctive flavour that sets it apart from the rest. Chinese lion dance is one of the most important event believing to usher in prosperity and good luck while chasing away bad luck and evil spirits. This new year is the very new beginning of 2024, I decided to go for a trip to China, Hangzhou to experience the New Year festival at there. We arrived there on 9th Feb, which is New Year Eve, it was very cool below to 9 degrees there at night and the win is strong. Once arrived, the whole airport shop is close for the new year and we couldn’t get any phone cards, even convenient store(don’t have seven eleven) all close down. We don’t have internet, only check in hotel then u can have the internet connection. The very important thing is in China(My first trip to China) , must use 2 very important payments and communication tools is wechat & Zhi Fu Bao. Without this both you are total hard to survive. #cny2024 With a new year comes a new Light to Night festival version 2024. Unlike last year, I was able to visit the indoor showcases part of the festival and ongoing exhibitions inside the National Gallery. If there’s one place in Singapore I’ll never get tired off, it will be the National Gallery. The amount of times I’ve visited the gallery is still not enough honestly. We visited the festival on a Sunday, hoping to take part in the free civic building tour but I got the dates mixed up so no tour for us. The free tours along with other programs are also part of the festival with their respective specific schedules. The indoor light displays and showcases were amazing. I loved the human silhouette in motion in the middle of the gallery or at the atrium. Some of the exhibitions we visited inside the gallery are the art of South-east Asia, a tropical exhibition with live birds, and the light display at the Rotunda with an emotional reunion-themed showcase. The outdoor light displays did not disappoint. I loved the music for the light display at the facade of National Gallery, it’s different from before, engaging. I feel like the stories projected were much clearer. The clam-like installation at the field weren’t really a showstopper. I also loved that there’s still a cat-themed projection this year. As it was the residence of revered monk Luang Phor Koon who passed away in 2015. The chapel is beautifully decorated with enameled tiles. Hor Thep Wittayakom is the elephant-liked ceramic shrine in the center of water. On the roof top are the statue of walking Buddha and the statue of Luang Phor Koon. 🙏🙏🙏

#CNY2024 Returned home in the Philippines for the Lunar New Year/Chinese New Year, and the first agenda was a staycation at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) It’s been a lot of years since i visited the area, and a lot of buildings and establishment has been developed, and ofcourse a lot of restaurants scattered in the area. One of the famous shop here is Mendokoro Ramenba, which serves, ofcourse, Ramen! The interior design is very chic, with wooden laddles as the design element~ the seats are in bar counter style which encircle the whole kitchen so you can see the chef and his cooks work. #CNY2024 As part of our staycation trip in BGC, we found ourselves visiting Mind Museum, which is located near Shangri-La hotel-Fort First and foremost, this museum is generally generated for kids to enjoy (we even came across a kids on a school field trip inside) the displays are mostly interactive for kids to play at. They have different section for different topics, the displays tend to more inclined to general/earth science topic which kids in elementary/primary level mostly knows about. I had an incredible stay at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur and It became an unforgettable #TripMoment for me and my mom🫶🏻✨. For the bathroom, it is separated into 4 parts: toilet, sink area, bathtub, and a room for showering. The facility of The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur are amazing. They have a Health & Wellness room that includes Sauna Room, Steam Room, and Jacuzzi inside it, and you can use it for free. Another facilities in this hotel are: Gym Center, 2 Swimming Pool, Spa Area, Kid’s Zone, etc. For the breakfast, it was so good and appetizing. They serve many kinds of dishes: Chinese, Indian, Malaysian, Western, Etc. And my favorite was the Chinese Dishes: their Dimsum! I really love the staffs, they are all always smile and so humbled. Dropped by Keijometo, an industrial vibe cafe that serve Japanese drink and Matcha drinks. Though the cafe is opened some time back, it is still as crowded. It is located pretty near to KSL, a 5-8 minutes drive from the mall. There are a plenty of grammable spots to take pictures. Some of the food we ordered include Lychee Matcha Iced Tea, Yuri Matcha, Mentaiko Tamago Sando and Salmon Ochazuke. I love the Mentaiko Tamago that is the star dish for this trip, it comes with torched Mentaiko with its creaminess and unami-ness.
