#timetotravel
A highly recommended place to visit at KL’s China Town. “Fung Wong” is a cafe on Jalan Sultan in Kuala Lumpur is a 113-year-old Chinese pastry establishment repackaged for modern times. Fung Wong is selling various of chinese style biscuits & cake with a unique name that some i haven’t heard of before 😂
I ordered:
🧁Salted Egg Lotus Pastry: highly recommend!! the taste is like the mooncake but even better! what i like is this pastry is not too sweet.
⁉️Husband Pastry: such an unique name😂 but the taste is also good!
🤩BBQ Pork Bun: besides salted egg lotus pastry, this is my favorite too✌🏻
🍳Century Egg Pastry: just so so for me😁
PS: i suggest to not come in the morning bcs some of the pastries are not ready till 10AM

Instagrammable Cafe/ Bar at Kwai Chai Hong
Looking for somewhere instagrammable and cosy? Head over to Baijiu
One of the tenants at the vibrant picturesque yellow and blue-fronted building on Lorong Panggung, Baijiu, is a cocktail bar that serves up cocktails and plump juicy dim sums
Step inside Baijiu and immersed yourself in cosy ancient Chinese influenced bar that comes with lacquered wood booths and benches.
There is another bar in an airy room that leads out onto an open-air deck overlooking Kwai Chai Hong where you can kill some time people-watching while enjoying one of those super artistic cocktails (if you are feeling a little naughty) or mocktails (if you are a good girl or boy) and sinking your teeth in those meaty tasty pork free dumplings or baos#livelifelah #baijiukl #chinatownkl #deliciousfood #kwaichaihong #dimsum #cocktails #klfoodie #food
STAYCATION in KL chinatown
I recently stayed at the Sheraton Chinatown and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect for exploring the vibrant Chinatown neighborhood and it's also close to many other popular attractions in the city.
The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you could need for a great stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept soundly throughout the night.
The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed. The check-in process was smooth and easy, and the concierge was able to offer great recommendations for local restaurants and sights.
One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop bar, which offered stunning views of the city skyline. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.
Overall, I highly recommend the Sheraton Chinatown for anyone visiting the area. It's a great hotel with excellent amenities and a prime location, and the staff really make you feel at home.#hotelchinatown #chinatownkl

Fabulous Speakeasy Bar in Chinatown KL
Address - 150, Jalan Petaling, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Ambiance/Facilities - old abandoned look but hip
Highlights - Cocktails with local twist
Avg. Price per Person - RM60-100
Rating - 4 stars
To enter, you need to find the hidden door behind a toy stall at the address. once inside, you will walk thru an abandoned looking long shophouse to reach the bar area. Very friendly service, do order a cocktail with a local twist (one with a very Singapore name - Don’t Say Bojio).
Must sure you go early on Friday or Saturday night as this place fill up very fast. in case you can’t find it, it’s right opposite of Four Points by Sheraton Chinatown.

Last Old Dim Sum Place in Chinatown KL
Address - 8, Lorong Panggung, Chinatown, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Ambiance/Facilities - old shophouse with steep staircase upstairs, air con, limited tables
Highlights - siew mai, carrot cake, har gao
Avg. Price per Person - RM15-20
Rating - 4 stars
Situated near Kwai Chai Hong, this old school bakery has been running since 1893, probably the last old school dim sum place left in Chinatown (the other 2 has closed down). opens Tuesday to Sunday from 7.30am to 3.30pm, it gets crowded very fast after opening.
Downstairs is the bakery, while you can head upstairs for a table, a rather small place (hence the queue) but very prompt and good service. the place has retained most of the old charm and the dim sum is still great. Do support them if you happened to be in the neighborhood as such old places are closing too fast, at least takeaway some items if the dine in queue is too long.
