Charming city center of Yerevan
Location: Yerevan, Armenia
Republic square of Yerevan is charming both at night and daytime. At night it is lit up with beautiful lights. Dancing fountains add another vibe to the square. Summertime it is crowded with lots of people. We went there on Wednesday and no matter it was a weekday but still there were so many people at the square.
Daytime you can enjoy the beautiful ornaments on the buildings which are build in pink and yellow tuff.

Mount Aragats - Hiking - The Peak
After about two hours of climbing we finally reached our goal, one of the highest points in the Armenian Highlands - The Southern peak of mount Aragats 🏔
It was a long and hard journey but definitely worth all that.
I must say that if you are in Armenia it definitely go for it, also you can enjoy delicious food by the lake, visit the Arshakid Mausoleum, Amberd, Vahramashen Church, the alphabet park and the Tegher Monastery.
Ideally I would suggest you to stay in one of many resorts and spend at least 3 days to be able to see everything without rushing.
One more goal ✅

Mount Aragats - Hiking - half way to the top
Mount Aragats is the highest point in Armenia with its Northern peak - 4,090 m (13,420 ft) a live the seal level.
We were climbing the Southern peak —3,888 m (12,756 ft) above the sea level. Half the way to the top we stoped for a short cucumbers 🥒 break 😁 Then we continued our journey climbing higher and higher passing through volcanic “rocks” 🪨 a huge snow plot, at that point you already realize that you are almost at the top… almost nothing left to reach the peak but then it hits you that you reached the hardest part. 🥵
It becomes much harder and you are literally using all your last “drops” of energy left to finally reach the top of the mountain 🏔

Mount Aragats - Hiking - The beginning
One of my dreams was to climb Aragats and here I am looking at the top of Aragats ready to get all the way up to the top.
Aragats is four-peaked volcano massif in Armenia. The northern summit is 4,090 m (13,420 ft) above sea level, and it is the highest point of the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia.
Me and my group, we climbed the Southern one which is 3,888 m (12,756 ft). We arrived very early in the morning and started our long journey.
It took as about two hours to reach the southern peak of the mountain but the views and just the feeling of reaching the goal were well worthy 😌😍

Garni Temple - Armenia
By visiting the Garni Temple you’ll see remains of several monuments like the Garni temple itself still standing, the remains of the circular church of Garni, the remains of the palace and audience hall with a bathhouse and the city wall. Most of the building where almost completely ruined after several earthquakes…
Also the Tiridates' inscription - which is a pretty big piece of stone with a Greek inscription which was discovered in 1945. The text is not complete readable but still it is giving a lot of information about the history of Garni (you can search more about it online)

Garni Temple - Armenia
The Temple of Garni is the only standing building in Armenia from Greco-Roman colonnaded era.
It is one of the best known places in Armenia for tourists to visit, and it is definitely worth it! The building is absolutely gorgeous 😍
It is located in central Armenia in the village of Garni and it is not far from Geghard Monastery and usually people visit both places the same day…
Whenever me and my family were going to Geghard Monastery we were almost always also visiting the Garni temple. I absolutely love visiting Garni as I can see the history which is standing there since the 1st or 2nd century AD.

Garni Temple Bathhouse - Armenia
The Garni temple was completed in first or second century AD. The bathhouse is located to the north of Garni temple. The bathhouse dates to the third century.
There was a Roman-style floor with mosaic and heating. So, floor was laid on little columns made of bricks as you can see in the pictures.
On the mosaic floor you can steel see some aquatic symbols like a dolphin etc and even see mythological figures like Eros (love) 🤍
There are some greek words - that can be read but the meaning isn’t really clear…
If you go there it’s better to have a hide who will tell you a lot of information about everything you will see there.

Geghard- Armenia
The monastery of Geghard is a renowned ecclesiastical and cultural centre of medieval Armenia, and after all one of my favorite places in Armenia since I was a kid.
It is located in the Kotayk province of Armenia.
Part of the monastery is carved out of the adjacent mountain surrounded by cliffs. it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (with enhanced protection status).
I’ve been here countless times but still ever time I visit Geghard I still enjoy it and adore the beauty of it.
This place is 100% must see in Armenia 🇦🇲 If you are planning to travel to Armenia make sure that Geghard is on your list.

Cascade - Yerevan - Armenian
Yerevan is the magnificent city of Armenia's
pulsating heart. The incredible cascade began
construction in 1971. It has become everyone's
favorite not just because of its expensive high
end artworks, but also because of the
breathtaking view of Yerevan from the top, with
Mount Ararat looming behind Yerevan's iconic

It is a great place for young people to congregate
for drinks, and it is where a lot of open-air
concerts are staged. Jazz concerts, traditional
Armenian dancing classes, and other activities
are held at the Cascade stairwell.
Visiting the Cascade should undoubtedly be on

The international airport is not large, but it will serve you well. It is well organized, with several departments in a position that is so simple to access and you will not be stressed by your departure requirements. Clients can easily go to their plane sit.
It is very clean, there are no crowded flights, and it is simple to identify the plane that you were assigned to board for your travel.

Bjni Fortress - Armenia
Bjni Fortress - A medieval Armenian fortress located in the village of Bjni in the Kotayk Province of Armenia.
It was built From the 9th to 10th centuries
Pahlavuni family of the Bagratuni Dynasty.
It was destroyed during the destruction of the village of Bjni by the Turko-Mongol conqueror Timur Lenk in 1387-1388.
Some of the fortress walls survive in relatively poor condition. Every time I visit Bjni I am going up the hill to wander around the ruins, imaging how the fortress was looking back then. My mother’s auntie used to tell me stories about the fortress. Stories that she was told as a kid and how the fortress was looking when she was a kid.
It is truly a magnificent place and definitely one of my childhood favorites.

Zvartnots Int. Airport - Old Terminal
Zvartnots International Airport is the main international airport of Armenia and Yerevan's main international transport hub.
In this post I want to tell you a little bit about the old terminal building of the Airport.
it was built in the 1970s. The old terminal is the circular terminal. The parking area used to be underneath the bridge serving the Departures. The Arrivals hall was on the lowest floor, it was small and rather narrow.
Once, it was the height of luxury with a restaurant high up on the central control tower and views across to the Armenian capital Yerevan.
more than 2,500 passengers crowded through the country's most modern airport terminal every hour.
Now it sits abandoned, locked. and facing demolition.

Me and my very good friends decided to go to Stepanavan and surprise another friend of ours as it was her birthday.
We were driving around enjoying the views ⛰

Later we visited the Sochut Dendropark named after Edmund Leonowicz. Where we spent several hours as it is pretty big and nice place to walk around and relax.
After a we visited the ruins of Lori Castle 🏰 which is an 11th-century Armenian fortress located near the Lori Berd village.
Later in the evening we went to a place called “Carahunge cafe & more” and had an amazingly delicious dinner 😍

I love walking around the city at fall. 🍂 Especially along the narrow streets and lanes lost on the outskirts of the city. One of my favorite things to do whenever I am in the town is to enjoy the sunset from the balcony of my family house. 🌇
If you are in Yerevan or planning to visit Yerevan Please, don’t forget to look at the sky especially in the evening! I have never seen such beautiful sunsets anywhere else in the world. When the sun has already set you’ll be amazed by the stars in the sky 🌌

Khor Virap monastery - mountain Ararat view
Khor Virap is an Armenian monastery located in the Ararat Plain in Armenia. Khor Virap means deep dungeon.
In the year 301, Armenia was the first country in the world to be declared a Christian nation. Khor Virap is the place where it all began.
Gregory the Illuminator was initially imprisoned here for about 14 years by King Tiridates III of Armenia. Subsequently Saint Gregory became the king's religious mentor, and they led the proselytizing activity in Armenia.
The reason why it is called Khor Virap (deep dungeon) is the pit underneath St. Gevorg Chapel. where Gregory was imprisoned.
There are two pits inside the chapel, Grigor's is the farther one, 6 metres (20 ft) deep and 4.4 metres (14 ft) wide. Nowadays every single visitors can go down into the pit. However before doing it please remember that it is 6 meters deep
and just 4 meters wide. Last time I went gown into the pit I got dizzy 😵💫
