A Yellow City- Traditional and Quiet Place in 🇲🇽
Location - Izamal Yucatán Mexico 🇲🇽
Attractions - A Yellow city
Some forty miles east of Merida, the capital of Yucatan, is the quiet, old fashioned, colonial town of Izamal.
Izamal is known in Yucatán as the Yellow City (most of its buildings are painted yellow), which houses one of the most venerated Marian statues in all of Mexico. Also the City of Hills (that actually are the remains of ancient temple pyramids)😊
You must go to the Santuario del Santo Cristo de Sitilpech in Izamal. This is a old and traditional church ⛪️ with yellow colour. There are also many street food that you can find everywhere. I think you would like to try the traditional culture in Mexico.

Must Try Mutton Curry Nasi Lemak
Surprise find at a house turned mamak stall at Taman Zooview, 20 mins drive from downtown Kuala Lumpur. Very popular location for locals to have their favorite breakfast. No parking space, cars are lining by the side of the highway.
Highlight of this place is its mutton curry nasi lemak. The mutton is well cooked, very soft and flavorful but without the gamey taste. Curry is well balanced, not too spicy. The rice has enough coconut milk scent and taste, just a bit too wet (probably too popular, not enough time to cook and cool). A must have.

Old School Roasted Chicken Rice - Must Try
Nam Heong, established in 1938, is one of the oldest chicken rice brand in Kuala Lumpur. Located off Chinatown (Petaling Street) Kuala Lumpur, it is a popular place for locals and visitors to have a great chicken rice meal. Unfortunately, the original owners sold the brand and the outlet has been renovated, thus losing its charm but the chicken rice is still very good and the chicken is well roasted, not oily at all.
While chicken rice is the key highlight, the other items on the menu are good too. Gather a few friends to visit so you can order more items.
