Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Empire State Building
#nyinsider
❓Did you know the Empire State Building in New York was finished in record time?
ℹ️ Planning and construction of the Empire State Building took just 20 months from start to finish. As many as 3,400 men were used each day.
Unlike many projects, the Empire State Building was finished ahead of schedule and under budget, but it also came with a human cost as some workers were killed during the construction process.
The views from the 360 observation deck are amazing, you should visit. You can see some of the greatest landmarks and buildings on Manhattan Island but also you could see far enough to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

❓Did you know that Prague used to be the residence for the Holy Roman Emperor and the 3rd largest city in Europe?
ℹ️ Prague owes much of its success due to Charles IV. Prague flourished during the 14th-century reign (1346–1378) of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor and the king of Bohemia of the new Luxembourg dynasty.
As King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor, he transformed Prague into an imperial capital and it was at that time by the area the third largest city in Europe (after Rome and Constantinople).

#eurotrip to #vienna
❓Did you know that at the age of six Mozart performed a concert for the Royal family at Schönbrunn Palace?
ℹ️ Schönbrunn Palace was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers, located in Hietzing, Vienna. The name Schönbrunn (meaning “beautiful spring”) has its roots in an artesian well from which water was consumed by the court.
The interiors, the tapestries, the furniture, all exquisite and worth a visit to crown your city break in Vienna. Also don’t forget the gardens! Picturesque landscape combined with impressive fountains make it a sure rival of the Versailles gardens. We found that The Gloriette in the gardens offered a spectacular view of the estate and were impressed by the Crown Prince Garden and Palmenhaus.

Wallabies can be found all over the country of Australia, but the picturesque island state called Tassie is the only spot on the planet where you'll catch a glimpse of these naturally occurring pure white beauties.
Why?
Tassie's gentle landscape means these bright, white wallabies are free to stand out against the brown shades of the bush. They have no natural predators in Tasmania!#animals #rarefinds #rare #localguides #falltrip #didyouknow #australia #tasmania

Nice, France
❓Did you know that 100 years ago, Nice, France was only a winter resort?
ℹ️ Nice has been a holiday hotspot for over 400,000 years. But up until the 1930s, wealthy visitors would flock here in winter as it was too hot during the summer months. Hotels even closed down as there were no guests.
Aristocrats and European elites would spend a few months in Nice and the French Riviera between November and February to enjoy the milder climate and exotic plants.

#gooutside and feed the #coati
❓ Did you know these animals are called coatis?
ℹ️ There were plenty of animals at our hotel in Playa del Carmen 🇲🇽 from iguanas, to interesting birds, monkeys and coatis. We haven’t seen coatis before and were really intrigued, we even called them “fake monkeys” 😀
The coatis have a long snout of a pig, the tail of a raccoon, and the tree-climbing ability of a monkey. We had lots of these at the beach and enjoyed feeding them.
Playa del Carmen is located in eastern Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula, along the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo. Due to its geographical location in Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen features a wide array of tourist activities with lots of places to visit nearby.
