ICELAND TRULY LIVES UP BY ITS NAME
After our convocation in London, we decided to fly to Iceland to continue our celebration. Iceland, as we all know is a Nordic island nation well known for its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. We spent a total of 6D5N driving around the island in a rented car. We truly enjoy the roadtrip experience, thou we can't understand most of the road signs there LOL. The weather was really really cold in late October and the wind were strong. Hence, we believes Iceland truly lives up by its name. We managed to visit a few interesting spots such as Reykjavik, Thingvellir National Park, Perlan, Sun Vogayer, Gullfoss Falls, Seljalandsfoss, Skaftafell, Harpa, Reynisfiara Black Sand Beach, Blue Lagoon, Myyatn Nature Baths, Geysir and some names that I can't recall. Unfortunately we have no luck with Northern Lights due to the weather.
Things are relatively expensive here. Each meals averagely costs around USD25 above and even a normal fridge magnet can costs up to USD15 upon conversion.
However, our trip to Iceland was such a great experience, and we had such a memorable bonding time together.

Central location in Reykjavik
The hotel is located right across from one of the City's most iconic attractions: the famous Hallgrimskirkja church. As such, you'll be right near everything in the city. Location wise, I think it's great.
The rooms are on the smaller side but very ok for a single or even double occupancy. The windows are a bit thin so even though the view of the church is great, at night there can be very loud music blaring and you'll hear everything. Further the cold can be an issue but thankfully there's very effective heating in the room.
The hotel also has free coffee and tea throughout the day but I didn't try it. I really liked that it was very close to the bus terminal so that was really good to get to and from the airport.
Overall an alright and mostly affordable option for Iceland.

Fall in Reykjavík
Heading to Iceland in the fall is a very good idea; you’ll still see all the wonders of the country before it gets really cold. Of course, this being Iceland, you’ll still be met with chilly weather so remember to dress appropriately.
It also appears to be shoulder season so there are less people and so places are a bit less crowded.
Walk through the main city of Reykjavík to get a sense of this island nation and explore its dining options! This is a great stop before you venture out to explore the rest of the country!

Iceland
Iceland provides an experience like no other - for three days, I felt like I was wandering a different planet. I rented a car and drove the Golden Circle - the coastline is beautiful and wild (never seen such dramatic waves), stumbled across a glacier, saw several waterfalls, and took a hike to the plane wreckage of a US navy plane from 1973 (nobody casualties thankfully). I also spent some time in the capital of Reykjavík and explored some of the city. I definitely plan on returning and taking a solid two weeks to drive around the entire perimeter of the island because the scenery is just unforgettable. Flights to Iceland are cheap, but everything on the island is very expensive, so it is best to find a group to go along for the ride and split the costs.

This fabulous wall was created by an amazing artist, is truly impressive for Nintendo fans. The mural is enjoyable and visually engaging, making it a great spot to visit while hanging out in Reykjavik's city centre. It's also highly instagrammable, perfect for capturing some memorable moments.
這是一個蠻有趣特別的壁畫,如果你是任天堂的粉絲絕對不可以錯過。如果你要在Reykjavík市中心閒逛可以過來拍拍照喔。

Exploring Lava Caves in Iceland
Looking for a spectacular excursion not too far from the capital of Iceland? We highly recommend the excursion to the lava caves Raufarhólshellir, just 30 minutes from Reykjavik. You will witness the inner workings of a volcanic eruption here. Follow the tunnel where the lava flowed thousands of years ago to deep underground. A true adventure for young and old.
On arrival you will be offered a helmet with lighting and that is necessary. The further you walk into the lava tunnel, the darker it gets. Raufarhólshellir is one of the largest lava caves in Iceland. The tunnel has a length of more than one kilometer, but only the first 400 meters can be visited with an experienced guide. Sturdy shoes and warm clothing are a must, as the temperature in the cave is only just above freezing. In some places the top has collapsed and this is how the sun gains access to the lava tunnel. This also explains why there is snow in some places. The different mineral types in the rock also provide different colors in the cave. An ideal trip of three hours from Reykjavik!

My bucket list ✅: Northern Lights
#2024wish #reykjavik ##Iceland ##freehotelstay #localguides #mytravelhacks #northernlights ##blue lagoon
My best trip in 2023 was Reykjavik in Iceland! I wanted to go there and see the Northern Lights since I was 10 years old and finally I could see it. The hot spring at Blue Lagoon was also amazing experience. If you have a dry skin or sensitive skin, it is highly recommended place to visit. Also, the drink bar in the spa was a great experience as well. The Icelandic dish (Fish stew) was delicious! It’s from the Rainbow street.
Since everything in Iceland is quite expensive, I recommend you to stay in hostel. Hostels in Iceland are very clean and convenient to stay.
For 2024, I wish to visit Bangkok in Thailand with my boyfriend 🩷

Iceland known as " The Land of Fire and Ice ". The last place that humans settled.
One of the places you could experience and witness the majestic Northern Lights dance across the blackened winter night sky. To see the sun still in the sky at midnight. The nation's capital is REYKJAVIK, where i visited the HALLGRIMSKIRKJA CHURCH and Ive walked around the city. Definitely one of the coolest and nicest place on earth. Definitely would like to comeback in ICELAND!🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸
