A piece of Pisa!
Pisa!
A lovely long weekend away visiting the leaning tower of Pisa! The monuments are all located amongst each other in a square. As soon as you walk into the square you are blown away by how beautiful the structures are. If you are in Italy, include this in your trip!
You can walk up to the top of the leaning tower of Pisa and the views are breathtaking!
There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants close by on the quiet streets around. Easily accessible as the ground is flat so no uphill walking needed! If you do climb the steps to the top of the tower, wear sensible shoes as the steps can get a little tricky! #pisa #leaningtowerofpisa #Italy
Discovering the Hidden Gem
#2024wish
In the heart of Pisa, overshadowed by the fame of the Leaning Tower, lies a hidden gem that captivated my senses – the Dom Santa Maria Assunta. Beyond the iconic tower, the cathedral proved to be a treasure trove of art and history, leaving an indelible impression on my journey.
From the first moment I stepped inside, the cathedral's grandeur and historical significance took my breath away. Surprisingly, entry was free for those who had purchased tickets for the tower or one of the museums, adding an extra layer of allure to the experience.
The interior of the cathedral showcased a rich collection of artworks spanning several centuries. The shrine of various saints added a spiritual and historical dimension, making every step within the cathedral a journey through time and faith. The architectural marvels, from intricate details to majestic arches, spoke of the craftsmanship that stood the test of time.
As I explored the Dom Santa Maria Assunta, each corner revealed a new chapter of Pisa's rich cultural heritage. The cathedral's serene ambiance and the resonance of centuries past made it an unforgettable experience, far beyond the fame of its leaning counterpart.
For 2024, my heartfelt wish is to return to Pisa.

Unveiling the heart of Tuscany
Tuscany, the mesmerizing heart of Italy, captivates with its cultural gems and breathtaking landscapes. Florence, the artistic pinnacle, boasts Renaissance marvels like the Uffizi Gallery and iconic Duomo. Wander Pisa's Piazza dei Miracoli, the Leaning Tower's tilted grandeur never fails to enchant. Then, Lucca enchants with its intact Renaissance walls and charming narrow streets. The region's warm, welcoming locals add to the allure. Savor Tuscan cuisine and fine wines, and immerse yourself in the rolling hills of the Chianti wine region. In Tuscany, time slows, inviting you to relish the soul-stirring essence of this enchanting destination.#florence #pisa #Lucca #tuscany
Leaning Tower of Pisa
I took a day trip via train from Florence to Pisa to see the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. One day is sufficient to view the tower, walk the surrounding grounds and read up on some of the history behind the buidlings. There are plenty of tourists around striking poses with the tower, and there are some interesting statues and smaller museums around, as well as street artists.

Pisa!
I am sharing with everyone my favorite travel thus far. I really did not expect it to be so wonderful and full of adventure. seeing the leaning Tower of Pisa makes me wonder where I have been hiding all my life. I have only seen the leaning tower in books so seeing it in person is so surreal. Thank you Daddy God for allowing me to see this wonder. I am ever grateful and ever mindful of everything. #pisa #leaningtowerofpisa #italy #passportready
Leaning tower of Pisa: the bell tower
The Pisa tower is one of the four buildings that make up the cathedral complex in Pisa, Italy, called Campo dei Miracoli or Piazza dei Miracoli, which means Field of Miracles. 🌟
It was a miracle of medieval engineering, probably the tallest bell towers in Europe. With 207 columns ranged around eight stories, Tower of Pisa looks like a massive wedding cake knocked precariously askew by a clumsy giant guest.
The construction of Tower of Pisa began in August 1173 and continued for about 200 years due to the onset of a series of wars. Till today, the name of the architect is a mystery.
The Tower of Pisa is constructed of white marble. It has eight stories, including the chamber for the bells. There is a 297 step spiral staircase inside the tower leading to the top. The top of the leaning tower of Pisa is about 17 feet off the vertical.
The tower is also slightly curved from the attempts by various architects to keep it from leaning more or falling over.
IT IS A MUST TO VISIT IN ITALY before it (hopefully not) falls down 🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝

Pisa, Italy - a pleasant surprise
the city of Pisa is located in the Italian region of Tuscany. It is known for its picturesque countryside, delicious food and wine, and rich cultural heritage. Have you been or is it on your bucket list? I’ll give you another reason than just the Leaning Tower of Pisa (and I know that’s not and only). The FOOD 🤤 I had one of the best dinners there! It was like eating homemade food.
Photography tip: p.s. there are SO many different angles to shoot with at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. 🫶🏼

The north side of the tower started titling during construction because of unstable ground underneath it.
2. Galileo Galilei used the tower for experiments.
3. Mussolini (an Italian dictator) tried to “fix” the tower in 1934. Safe to say he was unsuccessful.

PISA TRAVEL GUIDE
Pisa is so much more than just the Leaning Tower of Pisa - let me show you. Instead of doing just a day trip there from Florence, I decided to do a one night stay and I could not be happier for that decision. In fact, I wish I had enough timer for a two night stay. In the 24 hours I was there I:
- Strolled around the town and came across so much beautiful architecture. (photo 1 and 3 of carousel)
- Visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the afternoon on the day I arrived and climbed the tower. Definitely recommend as the views are beautiful. (photo 2 of carousel)
- Stumbled across Il Vecchio Forno (i.e. “The Old Bakery”) and OMG are we happy we did! We ate the most delicious biscuits and Panforte di Pisa (a cake with orange peel, citrus fruit, melon, almond and other spices). (photo 4)
- Explored some more before heading to the most wonderful restaurant for dinner called “Osteria di Culegna Pisa”. It had the most delicious food! Felt like we were eating homemade food. We loved it so much we didn’t leave a crumb on our plates. The food was amazing and I could see why. We met the owner and chef and my goodness she was amazing! Such a fun loving person and so much passion for what she does. (photos 5 and 6)

When in… Pisa
Most Memorable Moment: While walking through Campo Santo and seeing the Leaning Tower in person was fascinating, we were so glad to have caught the breathtaking sunset on the coast during our quick trip to Pisa. It was the perfect site to capture as we made our way further into Tuscany.

The leaning tower of Pisa has been on my bucket list for a very long time.
Countless times I have read that The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bore and that is overrated... I have to completely disagree and say the whole area around the tower is beautiful and you will never forget it. I would say to give yourself a few hours- no more than half a day to enjoy the beautiful scenery and soak it all in. The grounds were beautiful, so many happy people, the display of architecture was phenomenal, and of course many opportunities for wonderful pictures. There are decent restaurants nearby and of course they have great views. We just spent a few hours here hence that is why we didn't buy the tickets to climb the tower. It is very brilliant white and extremely ornate. Although there isn't lots of other things to see, I would HIGHLY recommend seeing the tower. It is very impressive, and shouldn't be missed. As others have said, a couple of hours is probably all you need in Pisa, but it is worth the trip!
Here are some tips i got :
1. I would suggest to purchase tickets in advance, as they can sell out quickly and there are reserved times in which you can visit the tower.
2. There are public restroom, just bring some change to pay.
3. Do not buy souvenirs inside the wall as they are more expensive. Buy outside, where the taxis drop you off.

Tower of Pisa is more accurately referred to simply as the bell tower, or campanile.
The Pisa tower is one of the four buildings that make up the cathedral complex in Pisa, Italy, called Campo dei Miracoli or Piazza dei Miracoli, which means Field of Miracles.
The first building constructed at Campo dei Miracoli, Pisa, was the cathedral, or Duomo di Pisa, which rests on a white marble pavement and is an impressive example of Romanesque architecture.
PISA not Pizza 😂
Arrived in Pisa airport which very close to the city centre, my accommodation only 10 minutes walk from the airport. Not sure what to do in Pisa part from visiting leaning tower, so I am not really recommend to stay in Pisa more than 2 night

A Must See Monument in Italy Pisa Tower
#wheretogo
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a must See Monument in Italy Trip. it’s been popular and most wanted attractions in Italy due to the tower is not vertical it’s tilts at an angle of 5.55 degrees.
Despite it might looking like it might fall any time, you can safely climb up all the way to the top of the tower. the tower is at 57 meter tall, it’s the tower’s marble-white beauty.
it’s amazing to see the tower in your eyes and full of people . you may take some time to get the right angle for pose . Overall a good experience to visit here , it’s recommended if you are first time in Italy.
Beware of you belonging when you visit king , avoid stranger over there .

#pisa #italy pisa is a a place in #tuscany famous for the leaning tower. one of the great masterpieces. the tower is leaned because of the soft base not properly managed and after construction it leaned approximately 5.5 degrees. then it was supported with some remedial measures and the angle reduced to approximately 3.9 degrees. A worth visiting place 🥰
