The most fascinating museum in UK
There are many natural history museums worldwide, but the one in London is something special – arguably the best there is! The museum boasts an enormous collection of specimens from the natural world. Visitors can discover the tip of the iceberg in person at the museum and go online afterwards to explore some of the items not on display. When you visit London’s Natural History Museum, prepare to be blown away from the moment you step inside. Not least thanks to the giant blue whale skeleton (named Hope), who hangs in the entrance hall. Climb the stairs past Darwin’s statue and get ready to discover the world. #trip #travel #holiday #UK #London #Culture #History

A building of cultural prominence
Spanning the reign of 20 popes and every famous Renaissance architect you can name, St. Peter’s Basilica is the most important of the four major basilicas in Rome. It’s also easily one of Rome’s most recognizable buildings. The basilica’s elaborate dome stands out in the Eternal City’s skyline—serving as a compass for all who wander Rome’s streets. It is situated at the heart of Rome in Vatican City. The guards of the city wear a colorful and a distinct uniform. #trip #travel #Rome #vaticancity #culture
A colossal architectural marvel
When thinking of Rome, the first thing that comes to mind is the colosseum. The colosseum is without a doubt the most iconic symbol of Rome. It has withstood destruction throughout history, whether natural or man-made. Now, an average of six million tourists visit the colosseum per year to pose, learn, and imagine the history of the colosseum come to life. The colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world. It boasts 190 by 155 meters, or 620 by 513 feet. While most Roman architecture was influenced by the Greeks, the colosseum was truly unique. It was free standing instead of built into a hill like most amphitheaters from its time. The colosseum was constructed of travertine stones and instead of being held together with mortar, it was held together with iron clamps. The roof also had a retractable canvas overhang to protect viewers from the sun and rain. #trip #travel #Rome #culture #italy

One of the most iconic and distinctive buildings in Cambodia, the Royal Place. Built in the 1860’s, the palace has been the home to all royalty since. The King’s living area takes up over half of the palace grounds, but visitors are free to roam around the Silver Pagoda compound, the main area containing the Chan Chaya Pavilion, and Throne Hall, which is pictured above. Cherry blossom in Hmong King’s Palace🌸🌸
In the Sa Phin Valley lies the palace of the Hmong kings built from wood and stone, the palace follows the blueprint of a traditional Chinese courtyard residence, featuring four wings encircling a central atrium. Moreover, it is encircled by an outer stone wall, serving as a defensive barrier against potential attackers.
🌸 When I visited, the flowers weren't fully in bloom, but fortunately, we were still able to capture the delightful pink and white blossoms in the palace's courtyard.

Bagamoyo: where the past and future dances
📍: Bagamoyo
Venturing into Tanzania, let's explore Bagamoyo, a town whose name translates to "Lay down your heart" in Kiswahili…
Learning about its role as the final stop for slaves before their journey to Zanzibar and beyond during the East African slave trade evoked strong emotions in me. Did I not cry like a baby while walking through to town?! Omg
Established in the 8th century by people of Persian descent, Bagamoyo evolved into a bustling port and trading port - welcoming diverse communities including Arabs, Indians and Chinese before being colonised by Germany in the 18th century.
The Kaole Ruins house a small museum displaying artefacts of Chinese origin - shedding light on ancient commercial ties. The site also features a magic well and several tombs.
Frame 5: One oldest mosques in Tanzania and East Africa - believed to date back to the 13th century.
Frame 6: Sharifa's Tomb - ssociated with a girl believed to possess healing abilities and the gift of dream interpretation.
