Regala Skycity Hotel - Hong Kong
We had a fantastic layover at Regala Skycity Hotel. It is located right inside Hong Kong International Airport. It only took us five minutes by taxi.
The hotel also offers free shuttle bus service every 30 minutes from early morning until midnight.
The room was very comfortable and clean, we had a really good night’s sleep.
I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a hotel near the airport for a pleasant layover.

A trip worth making more than once!! 😍🥹🤩
The Big Buddha, or Giant Buddha located on Pnong Ping island in Lantau Island district, is one of the best places I’ve ever been to. The entire trip to get to the Buddha is worth it, whether you are traveling via the 360 degree view gondola, or via bus, you will enjoy the trip going there. (I strongly recommend the gondola glass ride there and back though!) The views getting to Pnong Ping is just magical from the gondola. You can even spot the Big Buddha from it. You will also spot the ocean and mini rock islands on the right. There are lovely places to eat and indulge in authentic cuisine, I chose the Indian restaurant as it was popular with many foreign and local people. The food was absolutely delicious, a perfect 10/10 🤩 After going up the staircase to the Buddha itself, you can snap some gorgeous pictures with your travel buddies and get those amazing selfies! When you’re done, make sure to head down to the Monastery with the most beautiful architectural details and the famous Ten thousand Buddha Temple located at the end. A guaranteed peaceful and beautiful sensation that you will experience. An amazing khoi fish pond that is shaped in a Khoi fish will also leave you in awe. There are also lots of souvenir stores for you to purchase a little trinket or two, and some pure silver stores that has gorgeous jewelry that will make you want to spend most of your money on! You can also contribute to the maintenance of the Buddha by donating in the boxes that are situated in the Buddha itself and at the monastery. Take the family along, because this trip will be enjoyed by everyone, guaranteed! 😊👌#historicallandmarks #hongkongtrip #mytravelhacks #trip #familytrip #localguides

The Nan Lian Garden
#hongkongtrip #freehotelstay #mytravelhacks #localguides The Nan Lian Garden is a beautiful and serene space literally in the middle of the concrete jungle of Hong Kong. Not precisely around the corner but easily accesible with the MTR, the Diamond Hill station is a five-minute walk from the gardens. The most people people come for the striking and quite photogenic Chinese pavillion with the surrounding pond and brightly contrasting red bridge, stunning on its own right, but do take time to admire the many other features you will find in this little breath of fresh air. Not exactly an "ancient" traditional garden, this is a relatively "new" garden, built in 2006 and managed by the Chi Lin Nunnery which is located accross the street.
But it is a typical traditional Chinese garden built in the classical Tang Dynasty style with all four elements of a classical Chinese garden:
Rocks
Water
Plants
and Architecture
And as in traditional Chinese gardens, all elements are carefully arranged to create a perfect balance with nature and the environment.

% Arabica Hong Kong 🇭🇰 Star Ferry
#hongkongtrip
This small café occupies a major place just before the Star Ferry ticket gates and quickly became regular on our visits to Tsim Sha Tsui. Although the seats are slim, there are a few seats on the way to the ferry which is a nice place to sit and watch all the coming and going. The coffee is good and the staff are friendly, definitely worth a visit!
We found this cafe by chance and it was a godsend. Strong flat white (latte should have been ordered) using fresh milk; great flavor and strength. We accidentally left $40 cash on a table and it was returned to us when we got back!!! Great honesty
I went here last year
Arabica had their first store in Discovery Bay, then they moved to TST Ferry.
Since then, Star has been in Star Ferry and more joints have been opened at Insta locations like Quarry Bay, Kennedy Town and One vs PMQ.
The menu offers a good choice of coffee.
For coffee, you can choose plain milk, almonds, soy, or oat milk. I ate Americanoat milk which is obviously very bitter because it is made by diluting the espresso so it is a nice wake-up for your day.
Sparkling lemonade was refreshing because it was made from fresh lemons without any artificial taste. I appreciate the way it is sweetened a little bit.
I will definitely check out the new branch near PMQ and hope to see other branches pop up.
Hong Kong Disneyland 🇭🇰😍
#hongkongtrip
I went to Disneyland and Disney in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong, and I think Hong Kong Disneyland is my favorite. I went on a weekday in October, and most of the lines, except for meetings and greetings, were 10 to 30 minutes maximum. They had shows with English, Cantonese and Mandarin translations, which were great when I slept in Tokyo because I couldn’t understand a single word they said. Their garden is smaller, so maybe you can skip most of it in a day if you don’t plan to do any meeting and greet, which is usually more than an hour of waiting. Their trips that included a lot of talk like raft riding also had options for different languages as well. All of their shows were so much fun and the new fireworks show was finally an explosion.
When I went in October, it was still very hot during the day. Food, and drinks in particular, have been largely marked. One bottle of soda was about $13 CAD than I remember.
Also be sure to check the weather before you decide to go. Especially during the monsoon season. If it rains, it falls and sometimes for hours. This closes some games.
Hong Kong Park 🇭🇰
#hongkongtrip
This is a particularly good place to go if you need some time from the busy downtown or if you have kids who need to stretch their legs. It’s a large landscaped garden and something of an oasis in the heart of Hong Kong.
Entry is free
Highlights are a man-made central lake with large orange fish and small turtles, and a closed giant cage with a high passage. The cage is very special
The landscaped gardens are green, fertile and at some point, the winding path leads you behind the successive waters of an artificial waterfall which is fun for children.
The 30-meter watchtower has a beautiful view of the park and outside the city. It's hidden away from the main lake area and in the past, I didn't even realize it was there. If you don't mind more than 100 drawers, the view from above is pretty good.
If you have free time, the Flagstaff House Tea Museum is an interesting transfer in the park. Although it’s probably not for everyone’s cup of tea, it’s located inside a large, well-preserved colonial house and entry to the museum is also free (see separate review).
The park is big until you get your bearings, wait for the guiding maps of the territory. It’s worth taking a picture of the one at the entrance gates so you can find your way.
Getting there: There are many entries. I find the easiest is from within the Pacific Place shopping center. Escalators Next to Harvey Nichols, you run to the park and bring you straight to one of the main entrances.
Hong Kong Tramways 🇭🇰
#hongkongtrip
Ding-Dings are essential to Hong Kong and a popular activity for city visitors. These double-decker trams have been sweeping the streets of Hong Kong Island since 1904, offering cheap trips to locals and a great experience for tourists for more than a century.
Although the beloved name (Ding Ding) is officially known as Hong Kong Tramways, it refers to the sound of the bell that erupts when trams announce a stop to drop off and pick up passengers.
In short, these are slowly moving trams that make their way through different areas of Hong Kong Island, taking Hong Kong’s local markets, restaurants and skyscrapers along the way. There are many stations so you can enter or get off every 50 to 100 meters, whenever and wherever you want. There Are Quite A Few Ding-dings So You Don’t Have To Wait Long To Ride One.
During Normal Times, Ding-dings Can Be Very Full. When this happens, just wait for the next one to roll over to the ding-ding station and climb into it instead. The best views are upstairs where you have better views of the streets and market scenes around you. If you’re tall, the basement can present challenges to see outside.
There are six different routes from Kennedy City in the west to Shan Ky-Wan in the east. Trams run from 5.45am to midnight every day, depending on the route.
Flights are now HK$2.60 per adult and HK$2.30 per child. It is better to pay with an octopus card.
Note that you will pay for your trip when you exit Ding Ding. The ascent occurs from the back. Then just find a seat and enjoy your trip. When exiting, press your octopus card or drop your coins even next to the driver. Payments are not taken and the change is not provided by the driver, so make the payment accurate ready when you leave.
Hong Kong is a really beautiful city 🇭🇰

It is undeniable that Hong Kong has a unbeatable view in the centre area. In my recent trip to Hong Kong, I have been Tsim Sha Tsui and Sheung Wan. I will suggest you go to there when you visit Hong Kong as you can see a different view of angle of there.
I have brought my camera to there and took a few pictures about it and I really liked the harbour view.

one day trip in hong kong island 🇭🇰

What a wonderful week for me to spend time in Hong Kong. I have been the central in Hong Kong island this week and I have taken some pictures of the buildings in there. The skyscrapers are really impressive when I first saw them and I took my camera out to take immediately.
I will say the most beautiful view in Hong Kong is those skyscrapers surrounding the street and you can easily see the beautiful structure.

Attraction name: Lamma Island
Location: Hong Kong, China
Lamma island is one of the most secluded places in Hong Kong. Take a short ferry from Central or Aberdeen to one of the ports in Lamma. You can enjoy many of the famous walkable hikes on the island where you will be treated to scenic views and fresh air.
For lunch, visit one of the towns nearby the ferry ports for delicious seafood. In order to get away from the busyness of Hong Kong island, I recommend a day trip to Lamma.

A pocket of history in modern Hong Kong 🇭🇰
The Tai Kwun cultural center is a fascinating glimpse into the history of Hong Kong and it’s legal system, it forms a beautiful historical space surrounded by the hustle and bustle of modern day Hong Kong. The center comprises off three heritage landmarks - the former Central Police Station, Former Central Magistracy and the Victoria prison.
The site comprises a large open square surrounded by historical buildings, there are some restaurants and cafes to help you relax and plenty of historical and educational exhibits to see. You can wander through the buildings with most of them open to the public following an extensive renovation in 2018, the prison cells being a very interesting highlight of the buildings.
I loved the cultural center for the architectural contrasts, there are beautiful colonial era building build with brick and stone - which is a stunning clash against modern day Hong Kong that has built up around the compound.
The entrance is on Hollywood road and it’s a great place to stop as you are heading up the Central escalators, there are plenty of places to eat and also free and clean public toilets if you need to take a break!
It is deceptively large in size, it looks very small from the outside - we planned for an hour here but spent almost 3 hours taking everything in!

Hong Kong Maritime Museum ⛴️
#hongkongtrip
I recently paid a visit to the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, located in a picturesque area by Victoria Harbour. The price of HKD 30 for the maritime journey was definitely worth it. 🚢

Visitors of all ages are able to interact with the displays, making it a fun and engaging experience for the whole family. 👨👩👧👦
The most significant aspect of the trip for me was the museum devoted to the renowned Hong Kong Star Ferry, providing an insight into its historical development and cultural relevance. The commendable attention to detail is evident in the model ships and historical artifacts. 🚢
The proximity of the museum to Central Pier 8 enhances its appeal, providing breathtaking views of the waterfront. ⚓ If you have a passion for the sea or simply want to learn something new, this museum is definitely worth visiting. #HongKongMaritimeMuseum #MaritimeHistory #ExploreHongKong
