Cambridge University in November
Spent my October/November in the architectural beacon of Cambridge. Featured in my pictures, are the old hall of Queens college decorated by William Morris. Second is Pembroke library by Sir Gilbert Scott and thirdly is Sir Christopher Wrens first ever building ever due to the fact that his dad was the master of the college which is Pembroke College Chapel. However the whole city is really quite beautiful, i recommend it to all only £15 return from london on the weekends. Anyway while i didn’t get any pictures of the snow im sure its especially beautful in the winter #cambridge #uk #england #christmastrip

Cambridge Calling!!!
Visiting the University of Cambridge was like stepping into a time capsule that effortlessly transported me to a bygone era of intellectual grandeur. From the moment I set foot on its hallowed grounds, I was awestruck by the sheer magnificence of the architecture, the tranquil beauty of the gardens, and the palpable sense of knowledge that permeated the atmosphere.
As I strolled along the cobbled streets, I couldn't help but feel a sense of reverence for the countless scholars who had once walked these same paths. The iconic colleges, each with its own distinct charm, stood tall as guardians of centuries of academic excellence. From the imposing King's College Chapel to the picturesque St John's College Bridge, every corner of Cambridge seemed to hold a story waiting to be unraveled.
But it wasn't just the architectural marvels that left me spellbound. The university's rich history came alive through the knowledgeable guides who enthusiastically shared anecdotes about famous alumni like Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking. Their passion for the subject matter ignited my own curiosity, making me yearn to delve deeper into the world of academia.
Despite its prestigious reputation, Cambridge exudes a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The vibrant student community buzzing with energy, the cozy cafes tucked away in narrow alleys, and the sprawling meadows perfect for picnics all contributed to a sense of belonging. It felt like a place where intellectual pursuits were not confined to the lecture halls but were integrated seamlessly into everyday life.
A highlight of my visit was punting on the River Cam, an experience that epitomized the leisurely charm of Cambridge. Gliding along the serene waterway, I marveled at the idyllic scenery and reveled in the tranquility that enveloped me. It was a chance to appreciate the city from a different perspective and soak in the enchanting beauty that inspired countless artists, poets, and thinkers throughout history.
Whether you're an academic enthusiast, a history buff, or simply someone looking to immerse themselves in the magic of Cambridge, this university offers an unforgettable experience. It is a place where tradition meets innovation, where ancient wisdom coexists with modern ideas, and where the pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds. A visit to the University of Cambridge is a journey that will leave you inspired, enlightened, and with a newfound appreciation for the timeless pursuit of learning.

Cambridge! 🎓🇬🇧🏰
Cambridge is a historic and beautiful city in England, UK. Full of beautiful old buildings and famous University colleges, Cambridge is full of charm and a lovely city to walk around! Unfortunately during my visit, the most famous building in the city - the King Henry VI Chapel in King’s College, was under restoration - so seeing that would be justification enough for another trip to the city! Worth the time to visit if you’re in the UK, to feel historic charm, and to feel the timeless charm of this special place!#cambridge #england #uk #history #city #university #charmingstreets

A Relaxing Day in Cambridge
It was a spontaneous decision to make a trip down to Cambridge from London, so glad we made it happen! Cambridge has its own charm in the sense you are surrounded by one of the world most renowned universities and the town itself is beautiful ❤️ Went to try out punting, the guide has a really good voice and gently explain to us the famous spots along the river. We also went to the town which is really worth checking out because the vibes are amazing with mostly students around. Will definitely come back for sure 😊#cambridge #london

Cambridge: The Kingdom of Bicycles
If you ask me to relate a city from UK to Amsterdam 🇳🇱, I would say definitely Cambridge 🇬🇧. Locals ride the bicycles to arrive in schools, works, or shops 🚴♂️🚲. Also, the city has a canal in which some people could row 🛶🚣♂️. The other thing that I want to mention is the streets. I was amazed when I walked throughout the streets 🚶🏼♂️👣#Cambridge#bicycle#chapel#row .

Day trip from London to Cambridge❤️
If you want to explore nearby places in London, then try to visit Cambridge! I guess it’s just only 2 hrs away from London. The buildings were quite old but well maintained! I love how people take care of these. It’s not just about the infrastructures but they are also trying to preserve the history within.
Don’t forget to include punting on your list!

Relaxing walk at Lake Te Koo Utu
If you're ever in Cambridge, this lake is a hidden gem for a relaxing walk, especially in summer. There are a few different routes which you can take to the lake. You'll be able to find a signboard which clearly denotes the expectations of the different routes.
We took the Lake Arm Track which was a 124 meter track to the lake. There were slight slopes but it was well worth the time to walk around the lake and simply enjoy the fresh air, beautiful water lilies.
Lawns are well maintained and the children will love to see ducks in the lake. There's also a children's playground near the Begonia House.
Suggested duration: Approximately 1 hour

We love going to Cambridge for a day trip from London.
It's a short (relatively short) train journey away and is great when we don't know what to do on the weekend :)
We tend to bring friends and family there when they come to visit.
The town is really pretty, lots of students (as you can imagine) live there and the atmosphere is nice and lively. Would recommend.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Mathematical Bridge, Cambridge, UK
#celebratewithtrip #unitedkingdom #cambridge
When we went to Cambridge, we did a trip on the river. It's called punting
We passed by this bridge and were amazed by the structure. This historical footbridge was built with all straight timbers & thoughtful engineering.
Although it appears to be an arch, it is composed entirely of straight timbers built to an unusually sophisticated engineering design, hence the name.
You can view this bridge from the end of Mill lane where you can board a Punt for a trip up the river Cams, to actually go across the bridge you will need to pay to go into Queens college.

Cambridge University River
Strolling past Clare Bridge on the River Cam which is the oldest still-functioning bridge in Cambridge, built in 1639-40 by Thomas Grumbold.
The River Cam is the main river flowing throughCambridge in eastern England. After leaving Cambridge, it flows north and east before joining the River Great Ouse to the south of Ely, at Pope's Corner. The total distance from Cambridge to the sea is about 40 mi (64 km) and is navigable for punts, small boats, and rowing craft. The Great Ouse also connects to England's canal system via the Middle Level Navigations and the River Nene. In total, the Cam runs for around 69 kilometres (43 mi) from its furthest source (near Debden in Essex) to its confluence with the Great Ouse.
