【Enjoy for Free】Miyako Botanical Garden in Aoshima
Located very close to Aoshima Shrine, I stopped by after visiting there.
The Miyako Botanical Garden in Aoshima is a botanical garden that you can enter for free, and it's very spacious inside.
I went there in November, and there were many flowers in bloom.
There's also a cafe inside where you can enjoy fully ripe mango juice and tropical juices.
There's also a tropical fruit greenhouse where you can see exotic fruits like pineapples and dragon fruits.
【A Must-Visit Waterfall Spot】Takachiho Gorge.
I visited the longed-for Takachiho Gorge.
After the pandemic, the number of buses from the airport had decreased, and we struggled a bit as we went without renting a car, but we managed to get there safely!
A typhoon had come a week before our visit, causing the water level to rise, so the boat service that gets close to the waterfall was suspended, and the bridge that allows access to the waterfall was destroyed, which was disappointing.
However, perhaps because of that, there were fewer tourists, and we were able to see the waterfall from various spots★
The same waterfall changed its expression completely depending on the angle, so I could watch it forever.
It was very fantastical, and staying at a nearby inn, I visited Takachiho Gorge first thing in the morning, which turned out to be a very pleasant and fantastical walk!
There was a shop nearby where you could enjoy nagashi somen, and although there weren't many dining options, there were a few.
Next time, I definitely want to take a boat and see it up close; it's a spot that makes me want to visit again★
Owakudani, amazing volcanic crater
When I went to Hakone, I made sure to visit Owakudani#Owakudani , one of the largest volcanic craters in Japan. The cable car ride was stunning, especially as we approached Owakudani and the sulfur smell became stronger. At the station, there were many souvenir shops where I found the famous black egg. Outside the station, I enjoyed the beautiful scenery and tried some local food at the restaurants and eateries. Of course, I had to take a photo with the famous "black eggs" of Owakudani. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy so I couldn't see the majestic view of Mount Fuji.

Aoshima , three distinct attractions
Aoshima, located in Miyazaki, is a unique destination offering three distinct attractions: , a surfing spot ,unique geology, and a traditional shrine.
From the train station, I took a 10-minute walk to Aoshima beach. The beach is well-equipped with surf shops and rental services. The coastal path, surrounded by tropical plants, felt like a different world. I crossed a bridge to reach the Aoshima Shrine, where I found an "ema tunnel" that was interesting. The demon's washing board outside was the most attractive sight to me, and I spent most of my time taking pictures.
Before departing, I washed up at a nearby youth hostel with a public "Sento bath", ending my first day in Aoshima perfectly.

Sun Messe Nichinan
Sun Messe Nichinan is a park that you have to pay to enter. It's hard for me to go to Easter Island, so although the Moai statues here is replicas, I am still very exciting. Once I entered the park, I quickly found the Moai statues. There are totally 7 of them. They looked like the ones I had seen on TV shows, against the blue sea.
After seeing the Moai statues, I followed the park map and looked for the art pieces scattered throughout the park. At the top of the hill, there was a small exhibition hall with information about Easter Island. The view is amazing here.

Udo Jingu
Udo Jingu, a shrine inside a cave, was the highlight of my Miyazaki trip. Due to its location in the lower levels of the rocks, there were numerous stairs to navigate along the way. Thankfully, the weather was excellent on the day of my visit, and the seaside scenery was stunning.
Initially, I believed that the shrine was the only attraction to see, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover the nearby rock formations. This unexpected find was a great addition to my already enjoyable experience.

Takachiho Gorge
Takachiho Gorge is a beautiful place in Japan , Miyazaki, where you can see amazing cliffs and hire a boat to row along the river. Even if you don't row, you can still enjoy a nice walk along the path to see the interesting patterns on the cliffs. The area isn't too big, so you can explore it in an hour or take your time and spend a few hours there. It's a great place to visit and appreciate the natural beauty of Japan.

I found a really cool spot ,Amanoiwato Shrine just ten minutes away by bus from Takachiho Gorge. Even though not as well-known, I thought it was really attractive. My favorite part was the Amanoyasukawara shrine that's inside a cave. The shrine and torii gate look really natural and matche the surroundings. There are also thousands of little rock formations on the ground that are pretty cool to see.
Another really great thing about this spot is the stream that runs alongside the cave. It's perfect for walking under the trees, listening to the sound of the water, and checking out the cool patterns on the rock walls. Overall, it was an awesome experience.
