Coloane village
#macautravel #macautrip #macaulifestyle #macauadventure Painted in pastel yellow and white, with its distinctive baroque style, the chapel of St. Francis Xavier is one of the standout sights to see in the charming Coloane Village. Built in 1928, when Macau was a colony of Portugal, it was named after the missionary who brought Christianity to the East. The chapel used to contain some of the most sacred relics of Christian Asia before they were moved to the city’s Museum of Sacred Art and Crypt behind the Ruins of St. Paul’s. The chapel is located directly behind a monument commemorating a victory over pirates in 1910.

#freehotelstay #macautravel #macaulifestyle #macautrip The format of the opening of the ecological trail in Avenida da Praia, Taipa depends on the ecological sensitivity of the different sections, and the management methods of the different sections vary accordingly. The northern section of the ecological trail is connected to the five existing ecological ponds and a barrier-free passage is available. The eastern section of the ecological trail weaves through the important aquatic bird habitat in the Wetland in Avenida da Praia, Taipa. The Ruins of St. Paul and Macau street
As you approach the site, The Ruins of St. Paul, the grandeur and magnificence of the remaining facade instantly captivate your attention. It's truly awe-inspiring to see how this 17th-century Portuguese church has withstood the test of time, despite the ravages of fire and typhoons. The intricate carvings, elaborate stone statues, and detailed reliefs are a testament to the craftsmanship of the era.
Climbing up the steps towards the ruins, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and curiosity about the stories that lie within these ancient walls. I was not disappointed. The Museum of Sacred Art and Crypt, located at the back of the ruins, offers a fascinating collection of religious artifacts and artifacts from the church's past. It provides a glimpse into Macau's religious heritage and the influence of the Catholic Church in shaping the city's identity.
After exploring the ruins, I decided to take a leisurely stroll along Macau Street. This charming street is lined with vibrant shops, bustling markets, and mouth-watering street food stalls. The blend of East and West is evident in the architecture, as traditional Chinese buildings stand beside Portuguese-style structures, creating a unique and picturesque atmosphere.

A Day in Old Taipa Town
Last weekend, I took a special birthday trip to Macau to see the sights. I was staying at the Parisian on the Cotai Strip. Across from the Galaxy Macau Resort, you'll find a bridge you can cross to check out Taipa Village, a Portuguese-Chinese neighborhood that is colorful, vibrant, and very photogenic.
The blend of cultures is elegant and gorgeous. There's more than enough places to take pictures, grab a snack, do some shopping, or admire the historical sights. It's a neighborhood that is unlike anything I've ever seen. If you're ever in Macau, I recommend spending a day there and find every detail you can find along the walls and pathways.
You'll love every moment of it.
