The hotel is located in Onuma Quasi-National Park, and you can walk directly from the hotel into the park. Hokkaido's snowy private onsens are hard to book, as anyone who has tried to book one will know. I booked this hotel at the last minute. The hotel only has 16 rooms, but I guess not many people choose to stay in Hakodate, so we managed to book a private onsen. I still remember the room number was 101. So if you haven't booked your ideal hotel yet, you can try this one. The hotel's public facilities are quite good, with public onsens for men and women, as well as private onsens in the rooms. The room facilities are a bit old, but the view is quite nice. The hotel restaurant is also good, offering a full Japanese dining experience.
