God must have given all His favoritism to Switzerland!
🏞️ Truly breathtakingly beautiful! I always thought the scenery in fairy tales was fake until I went to Switzerland and realized that fairy tales are real—here are lakes as blue as gems, snow-capped Alps, lush green hillsides, fairy-tale-like chalets, and cows with bells everywhere. Every corner looks like a postcard. No wonder people say, "God first created Switzerland, then created heaven in its image"!

📅 Classic 7-day Switzerland itinerary to copy:
Day 1-2: Interlaken and the Twin Lakes
Arrive in Interlaken—one of Switzerland’s most beautiful small towns, located between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. "Interlaken" means "between two lakes." Interlaken itself is stunning; the Höhematte green space in town is the best spot to view the Jungfrau, with snow-capped mountains right overhead—truly spectacular.
Day 1: Explore Lake Brienz—known as "Switzerland’s purest lake," its water is a crystal-clear Tiffany blue. Take a boat tour; the shores are lined with hills, chalets, and cows—super healing. The lakeside town of Brienz is also beautiful and famous for woodcarving shops.
Day 2: Explore Lake Thun—another gem-like lake, quieter than Lake Brienz. The town of Thun is charming, with a castle and colorful houses. Walking along the lake is very pleasant. You can also visit Spiez, known as "Switzerland’s most beautiful small town," with its castle, lake views, and vineyards—unbelievably beautiful.
Day 3: Jungfrau, the Top of Europe
Take the cogwheel train up to Jungfraujoch—the highest train station in Europe at 3,454 meters. This is Switzerland’s most iconic attraction. Although expensive, it’s truly worth it! The train climbs from green hills to white snow-capped peaks—absolutely stunning.
At the summit, there’s plenty to do: visit the Ice Palace to see ice sculptures, enjoy panoramic views of the Alps from the observation deck, see the Aletsch Glacier (Europe’s longest glacier), and hike in the snow. It’s best to go early when there are fewer people and the weather is clearer; fog often rolls in during the afternoon.
Day 4: First Peak Hiking, the Essence of the Alps
Take the train from Interlaken to Grindelwald, then the cable car up to First Peak—this is my personal favorite! Less crowded than Jungfrau but just as beautiful. There are many fun activities at the top:
First Cliff Walk: a walkway built on a cliff with a dizzying drop below and snow mountains in the distance—thrilling and beautiful.
Bachalpsee Lake: a stunning alpine lake reflecting the snow mountains like a mirror, just a 20-minute hike away—highly recommended.
Mountain Carting: ride a mountain cart down from the peak—super fun with amazing views.
The hiking trails around First Peak are gorgeous, with snow mountains, lakes, meadows, and cows—the very essence of the Alps!
Day 5: Zermatt and the Matterhorn
Take the train to Zermatt—Switzerland’s most famous mountain town, home to the iconic Matterhorn. Zermatt is a car-free town; no vehicles are allowed except electric cars or walking, making it very quiet and clean.
In the afternoon, stroll around the town where the Matterhorn is visible everywhere. The chalets are super cute. At sunset, go to the Gornergrat viewpoint to watch the Matterhorn bathed in golden light—breathtakingly beautiful.
Day 6: In-depth Zermatt Exploration
Wake up early to see the Matterhorn sunrise—the golden mountain glow is stunning! Then you can take the Glacier Express train to St. Moritz or hike around Zermatt, which has many excellent trails.
If you like hiking, the Five Lakes Trail is recommended, offering different views of the Matterhorn. Riffelsee Lake is a classic spot to photograph the Matterhorn’s reflection—an absolute must!
Day 7: Lucerne, Back to Reality
Take the train to Lucerne—Switzerland’s most famous tourist city. Visit the Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument, take a boat tour on Lake Lucerne, and then prepare for your return journey.

⚠️ Important tips to avoid pitfalls:
Switzerland is very expensive! It’s the priciest country in Europe; a budget of 30,000-40,000 RMB per person is normal, so plan ahead.
The Swiss Travel Pass is not cheap but very worthwhile; it covers trains, buses, boats, most museums, and offers discounts on many cable cars.
Weather on Jungfrau changes quickly; check forecasts in advance. It’s cold on the mountain, so bring a thick jacket even in summer.
Accommodation in Zermatt is expensive; book early.
High living costs mean buying groceries and cooking in your accommodation can save a lot.
Swiss people are very rule-abiding; pay attention to queuing and giving up seats on public transport.
🏞️ Traveling in Switzerland feels unreal—every scene is so perfect it seems fake. When you sit on the train, outside the window are blue lakes, white snow mountains, green hills, fairy-tale chalets, and cows with bells leisurely grazing. The bell sounds float on the wind—you feel like you’ve truly stepped into a fairy tale world.
🏔️ This is the magic of Switzerland; it makes you believe that paradise really exists on earth.
