I just came back from Ulsan, and I must tell, this city is not so simple one. People usually think only big cities like Seoul or Busan, but Ulsan also got charm lah. First thing I notice, city very clean and organised. Roads proper wide, traffic not so messy, even during peak hour. Industrial areas like Hyundai Heavy Industries are huge, quite impressive if you like engineering and big machines. Makes you feel small-small only! Then I go see some nature also. Taehwa River Grand Park is very beautiful, proper relaxing. Trees, flowers, river all nicely maintained. You can walk, jog, or just sit and think. Very peaceful for mind. Food is good, local seafood very fresh. Even simple street stalls got taste like top restaurant. Price also reasonable, not too costly. Transport quite okay. City buses and taxis easy to use. English signboard not everywhere, but still manageable. Overall, Ulsan is city with mix of industry and nature, not loud, not too crowded, but very enjoyable if you take time to explore. Perfect for people who like quiet but still see city life. Would I go back? I enjoyed a perfect summer vacation dipping my feet in the water. The mini swimming pool, board games, and tube rentals are all free, making it very cost-effective.
