FASCINATED WITH BAT TRANG CERAMICS MUSEUM
#instatravel #vietnam #awesomepic
We had a wonderful experience when visiting the Bat Trang Ceramic Museum in Gia Lam, only about 30 minutes drive from the center of Hanoi.
As "rumored", the unique architecture of the Museum surprised and admired me. The rotations are like giant ceramic wheels, the feeling of stepping inside made me feel like I was being carried by the hands of the artisans to discover new things about ceramics.
Besides the countless elaborate ceramic works, created by artisans in the ceramic village and displayed at the Museum, the thing I like most is the arrangement according to the historical process so that we can both visit and learn more about the history of the ceramic village. The arrangement from test pieces to completed works helps me feel the whole process of formation and improvement of Vietnamese ceramics.
We bought tickets to visit floors 1, 2, 4 and floors 3, 5 for #150k/person, including tea on the terrace. Because we went during Tet, on the highest floor, we were able to write wishes for peace on wooden cards and hang them on the tree ourselves. Also on this terrace, after chilling out with tea, we took a lot of extremely vintage photos right next to the lim wood stilt house, imbued with Vietnamese culture.
If you want to experience a Hanoi that is not too bustling with a unique nostalgic feature, I suggest you visit Bat Trang Pottery Village (including the Museum, Village Hall, Pottery Market)!
