Beautiful journey to Candi Selogriyo
As the first light of dawn began to paint the sky with hues of gold and pink, our journey to Candi Selogriyo commenced. The cool morning air was refreshing, filled with the earthy scent of dew-kissed grass. The road wound gently through the verdant landscape, gradually revealing the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings.
The highlight of the journey was undoubtedly the terrace rice fields. Layer upon layer of vibrant green stretched out before us, each tier meticulously carved into the hillside, creating an intricate tapestry of life and sustenance. The sight was a stunning contrast against the deep blue sky and the towering mountains in the distance.
As we walked along the narrow paths between the rice paddies, the rhythmic sounds of the farmers' work and the melodic calls of the birds created a symphony of nature that felt almost meditative. The gentle breeze rustled through the rice stalks, carrying with it a sense of peace and timelessness.
Arriving at the temple, perched serenely on the hillside, felt like stepping into another world. The ancient stones of Candi Selogriyo, weathered by centuries, stood proudly amidst the lush greenery, a silent testament to a rich and storied past. Each carving and relief told a story, inviting us to linger a little longer and immerse ourselves in the history and spirituality of this sacred place.
As we took in the panoramic views from the temple, with the terrace fields below and the majestic mountains beyond, a profound sense of awe and gratitude washed over us. The beauty of nature and the serenity of the temple combined to create an unforgettable experience that will forever be etched in our memories.
Candi Selogriyo is the best! (Yogyakarta, Indonesia 🇮🇩)
#besttrip2023
Yogyakarta is famous in Indonesia, and the Borobudur ruins are famous, but please take a little trip here.
It takes 2-30 minutes on foot from the entrance.
This is the only ruin.
But
I want you to go!
As you walk along the mountain path,
you can see the rice terraces,
and greet the farmers who are working,
and you will find this ruin.
Please sit on the grass around it,
and lie down and relax.
Time passes slowly.
On the way back, take a break at a coffee shop you find along the way.
Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while looking at the rice terraces.
There are few tourists, so you will likely have the view all to yourself.
Beautiful Natural Scenery in Dudan
This is my favorit sight when I going to Dudan, a place located in Magelang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. This place is at the foot hill so the air is very cool and fresh. Many rice field can be seen in this area.
