Xi'an city wall is totally different to our first experience of the wall, away from the city, but just as enchanting. We were lucky enough to capture the sunset while on it 🌅🏯, beautiful. You can make the walk as long or as short as you like with a perimeter of just over 13km. We started at the Tower opposite Times Square shopping centre, closest subway station 🚇was ​yongningmen. ​🎟ticket was 54RMB, 248RMB if you wish to stay for the Tang dynasty celebration (recommended) see pictures. ​🏃We walked West for about 2 hours, there are a couple of exit gates on the way, most do close at 8pm. ​🏯Hanguang Gate is a little museum on its own, lots of information and beautifully preserved relics of the wall inside it. ​As you exit the Hanguang gate, walk west until you can cross under the wall to the other side then walk back to your starting point via Bao'ensi Jie, this is a lively street with lost of shops, 🍸bars and 🍜🥤restaurants.#roadtrip #china #summervacation #xian

Blue frog. Joy city shopping center, in the heart of Xi'an. Nice relaxed family atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating. The highlight was being able to find something to eat to everyone 😋🤩 from burgers to risotto and salads 🍔🥗🌯🥩, the menu is nicely varied, The beef fajitas were amazing🌯😋 🍹🍸Cocktails are really good too, specially the Mango margarita and Legend of Sapphire Gin and tonic. 💰 we paid ,1100RMB for 5 people, including cocktails, starters and main each. A must visit!! 🤩just an hour away fron Xi'an, full of history and culture. Truly admirable what we can create to preserve moments in time that are significant. 🎟 tickets are 120RMB per person. there are wechat codes all around to buy them online. If that doesn't work for you, approach the nearest security guard and they will let you into the ticket office. 🏛 there are 3 pits, these are all within the same complex and all included in the ticket. Pit 1 is the largest and has the most excavated warriors. 🏃It took us 2.5 hours to walk around, we went on a good day so was not too busy, lots of tours though. I can see why it can take 3h or more on a busy day as you wait for spots around the excavations to see the warriors. 📽 don't miss the VR cinema 68RMB each, great experience,.you feel like one of the warriors immersed in the battle, listening to the history about the Qing dynasty and meaning of the excavated warriors. 🍜🥤 there are plenty of places to eat and drink as you leave the complex, including big restaurant chains. also survenir galore 😀 🎧If you get the audio guide as you cross the entrance gate, REMEMBER to return it before you cross the exit gate, otherwise you will need to qeue up again to get your deposit back 😭 #freehotelstay #roadtrip #culturetravel #chinatravel #Xi'an

Xi'an is amazingly rich in culture and great for food lovers❣ It was the beginning of the old silk road and therefore a festival of food culture. There is even a Muslim Quarter or a street known as Huimin Street where you can try amazing local delicacy. The street leads to the bell tower which is also one of the cultural highlights of the city 👌 Unfortunately there are not many options for vegetarians but still worth a visit and you can opt for ice cream or their sweet offerings. #urbanexplorer#qingmingtravel#tripfoodie#roadtrip

The figures, dating from approximately the late third century BCE, were discovered in 1974 by local farmers in Xian, Shaanxi, China. 👌 The terracotta army is a collection of terracotta sculptures created for the first emperor of China. Just 20 minutes from the Terracotta Army museum (Lintong) driving towards Xi'an, don't miss driving up Lishan mountain to your left (see map), great drive 🛣 and beautiful scenery. many chances to stop and take a moment to capture beautiful photos and just breath in the fresh cool air of the mountain. the mountain is also a tourist POI you can park and walk, if you fancy cable cars, these are available from the car park entrance to the tourist spot. To drive up the mountain you need to drive past the car park of the tourist spot and take next left , then immediately right into the beautiful welcoming arch 🏯⛰🚗. enjoy ! #roadtrip #summervacation #xian #china
