I recommend to plan in advance and buy the ticket when they are released two weeks in advanced 🎫 You can choose from different ski centers according to your wish and abilities. Weather in February can be cold but we were lucky with sun on the Saturday so we could enjoy our lunch in the sun outdoors. About 5 years ago, the area where the hotel located it has really good view of everything around. But this time in my recent visit it is now surrounded with unfinished buildings, more like abandoned and even higher than the hotel itself. So the building looks isolated and all you can see from the balcony is the unfinished buildings instead of the beautiful ski slopes. in the other side of the hotel nothing much has changed, you can still see the mountains. Now, facilities is a different story. It has been about 5 years but facilities hasn’t change nor updated. The toilet looks filthy with improper cleaning and rusted shower head pipe. Desk and chairs still the same. Although, they added wall heater for winter season (that’s a plus). The Brew House is just a convenient location to eat and drink a draft of beer after your ski adventure. Thaiwoo Ski Resort has lots of restaurants around but The Brew House is I think the nearest and has good beer to offer since it's too cold and beer can warm up my cold soul. It offers hamburgers, pizza, tacos, salads, bbq and more. For the drinks;Coffee, juice, wine, cocktails and beer. The price is average depends on your order. I love the pizza and beer the most. Welcome to Thaiwoo Ski resort. It is located 20 minutes drive outside of Chongli District, Hebei, China. And it takes three hours drive by car from Beijing. I would recommend travelling there by car since it is the most convenient and comfortable transport. If you want to try skiing, it costs CNY580 a day per person. Slopes for beginners and Advanced are available. There are many restaurants to eat and hotels to stay in for a night or more nights. It has Indoor swimming pool, restaurant, meeting room, coffee shop which is Starbucks just at the lobby and also some shops. Highlights - This hotel was renovated in 2019 but opened in 2013. The hotel is just 2km from Zhangjiakou Railway Station and 8km from Zhangjiakou Airport. There are some things to explore around such as Chair Culture City, Xintiandi Culture Square or Ski resorts a little bit far from the hotel though. More than an hour trip I suppose. Avg. One sunny morning, Jia and I set off on a trip to Chongli. Outside the car window, the green mountains and blue sky with white clouds intertwined to form a beautiful picture. Our destination was the Xingchen Valley Apartment in Cuiyun Mountain, which is not only a hotel, but also an ideal starting point for exploring the beautiful scenery of Chongli. 🎉Check-in experience: As soon as we entered the room, the warm lighting and tidy layout immediately made us feel at home. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, which allowed us to prepare some snacks at any time, especially fresh fruits and yogurt, to replenish Jia's energy. Although the lack of tables and chairs was a little inconvenient, the overall comfort was still satisfactory. 🏞️Natural beauty: Looking out from the window, you can have a panoramic view of the beauty of Cuiyun Mountain. Whether it is a morning walk or stargazing at night, the natural scenery here can make people forget the hustle and bustle of the city. Especially on a clear night, the starry sky is like a painting, as if within reach. 🚗Convenient transportation: Whether you are driving or taking public transportation, it is very convenient to get to the hotel. Speaking of Hebei, my first impression was Beidaihe, but I didn't expect to have the opportunity to drive to Xuanhua this time. It feels like a very peaceful city. In a corner of the city center, there is such a place to rest your feet. The warmth that comes to you is full of Xuanhua's simplicity and enthusiasm. I arrived at the hotel in the evening. It seems that the surrounding area is very lively and brightly lit. Although the city is small, there is still a lot of traffic on the road. Xuanhua Ancient City is adjacent to Jingjin in the east and Jinmeng in the west. It has a unique topography and landform and is rich in natural resources such as land, minerals, and surface and underground water. Take a plane or train to Beijing, and then rent a car to Xuanhua. It only takes up to 2 hours, which is especially convenient. I have never seen so many people in a People's Park. I chose a few angles and selected a few areas to capture these pure spring scenes. This park is built along the city wall, and there is a section of the restored city wall that you can climb to see a panoramic view of the park. Adjacent to it is the ancient earthen city wall, which is covered with plants, showing the vicissitudes of history. At the foot of the city wall, there are clusters of flowers, rippling blue waves, pavilions chasing shadows, and light boats floating. The Su Garden, built in a corner of the park, is like a scene of Jiangnan scenery. The bamboo forest path is quiet and leisurely, giving people a sense of being in a water town. The weather was good during the day, and it was close to People's Park, so I went shopping with my good friends. There were many grandparents in it, and there were quite a lot of people in the morning, all of whom came to take a walk. Tickets to Xuanhua People's Park are free. You can go out for a walk when you have nothing to do at night. The scenery is beautiful and the scenery is pleasant. Moreover, the prices of the recreational programs inside are not high, which can evoke many childhood memories. It is now open to everyone for free. There is a very small zoo and aquarium in the park, with some animals in it, but unfortunately the environment is too bad. Starting from the hotel, I kept seeing city gates along the way, and also passed the most lively commercial street in the city. In early spring, Xuanhua has many dead leaves decorating the city gate, which has a very old beauty. At noon, I went to a very distinctive restaurant and had many local Xuanhua dishes, which suited the taste of northerners very well.

When you arrive at Zhangjiakou Geological Museum, don't just look at the exhibits in the glass counters in the exhibition hall. There are many open exhibits that should not be ignored. The stones outside the museum are not ordinary stones, they all have origins. When you enter the museum, the walls on both sides of the escalator and stairs are fossils. There are also dazzling exhibits in the corridor. The front wall shows the geological formation process. There is also various knowledge on the back of the front wall.
