TheForkUserThis was a wonderful meal from start to finish! The Bergerac white wine paired perfectly with our dishes. Our starters, foie gras for me and sweetbreads in an amazing mushroom casserole for my husband, were delicious. We both had the sea bass for the main course and it too was delicious. The desserts were beautifully presented and tasty, but we couldn’t finish them after all the great food that came before. Excellent, attentive service. No rushing. A beautiful evening! TheForkUserA special treat, excellence on all parts. A great place for a solo-traveler to enjoy a peaceful evening in the Dordogne valley area. The service was also excellent and the Bordeaux rouge and filet hit the spot after a day exploring the grottes.

Food was beautifully presented and every course was totally delicious. This was great value for money too . We wish we had discovered this restaurant sooner!

TheForkUserFood is great, but last night they were not paying attention. At first they couldn’t find my reservation. They forgot my coke and I had to ask a second time. No biggie. Then they forgot the mozzarella on my pizza. I had to send it back to get it. Then my husband and I got dessert, a waffle to split, and they forgot the crème chantilly.They made no attempt to make this right. Which is disappointing because their food is excellent and in 4 years of being a loyal customer this was my first bad experience. But when you repeatedly mess up, you should try to be commerçant.

TheForkUserA fantastic find in Castillion! Food is spectacular and extremely good value if you have the set menu. All starters were delicious but the langoustines were a highlight and the perfect size. We had the duck and beef for main courses which were also good sized portions and very flavoursome. It’s a small but serene spot so best to book and service was delightful. Will definitely revisit!
