三姐姐When you go to Shenqiu, you must try the traditional ten bowls, which are "perfect" on the tip of your tongue. This is my first time to Chenqiu. Local friends told me that Chenqiu is a famous hometown of traditional special snacks in Henan Province. Many of its "famous dishes" and "famous snacks" have a long history and have been passed down in the intangible cultural heritage at all levels in Henan Province, Zhoukou City, and Chenqiu County. When I heard there was something delicious to eat, my eyes lit up. I always call myself a foodie. No matter where I go, I always like to explore the local traditional food and experience different eating habits, so as to understand the local history and feel the charm of different cultures. Speaking of the Ten Bowls, I have also tasted them in other places in Henan. For example, the "Ten Bowls Banquet" in the Sanmenxia Dikanyuan in western Henan left me with unforgettable memories. So what are the characteristics of Shenqiu’s top ten bowls? A local friend brought me to a "Ma Yishi Ten Bowls" restaurant in Huaidian Town, Dongguan. It has a simple facade, but the place is always packed. Upon asking, I learned that some neighbors were holding a wedding here. The ten large bowls represent perfection, and the combination of meat and vegetables, ready to eat after steaming, are convenient, healthy and delicious, so they have always been popular among locals. The land and water nurture the people. Chenqiu is located in the eastern plain of Henan Province. It is the birthplace and breeding place of Huaishan goats and yellow cattle. There are many ethnic minorities here, so the beef and mutton in Chenqiu are particularly delicious, and the people of Shenqiu also love to eat beef and mutton. A friend told me that "Ma Yishi's Ten Bowls" is an old shop with a history that can be traced back to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It has been passed down through generations and still retains the traditional flavor while constantly innovating. “Here it comes, here it comes”, our ten major bowls are on the table, “seven meat and three vegetarian”, including lamb, stewed beef, steamed chicken with rice flour, braised fish, beef balls, beef patties, crispy pork, eight-treasure sweet rice, day lily, and yam, paired with large handmade steamed buns, it’s so delicious! #HenanTravel #FoodExploration #IntangibleCulturalHeritage #LocalFood
