Come to Limassol for a slow weekend! Prices here are lower than in Europe, there is plenty of sunshine, and you can pretend to be in Greece (after all, the streets are full of blue and white). The best thing is that the local uncles and aunts are all very friendly to tourists. Limassol in Cyprus is really an amazing tourist destination, combining historical charm with seaside style. I will give you the hot guide with both hands!
🌟Must-visit attractions
[One] Limassol Castle: This medieval castle stands on the seaside and has a simple appearance. Some archaeological discoveries are displayed inside. You can feel the strong historical atmosphere here, and you can also overlook the beautiful coastline. It is super exciting to take pictures.
[Two] Kourion Archaeological Site: The ruins of the ancient Roman period. Although the buildings such as the Grand Theater and the Colonnade have gone through years, they can still see the glory of the past. Walking here is like traveling back to ancient times.
[Three] Ayia Napa Monastery: The architectural style is unique and the interior decoration is exquisite. The monastery is surrounded by a quiet environment, making it a great place to experience religious culture.
[Four] Limassol Seaside Boulevard: stretches along the coastline, with beautiful beaches, sea view restaurants and bars. You can take a walk, sunbathe and enjoy a leisurely seaside time here.
📅 Day 1: Walk around the old town + lie down on the beach

Medieval Castle (ticket 4.5 euros)-the prison castle where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned, the top floor 360° sea view photo is amazing!

Molos Seaside Boulevard
Rent a colorful beach chair (10 euros/day) and lie down to watch the Mediterranean jelly waves
Giant colorful umbrella sculpture + love lock wall - a must-take for couples!
Go to the old pier in the evening to watch the sunset, the fishing boats and the sunset are so beautiful that you will be speechless
For dinner, "Pyxida Fish Market Restaurant" is recommended!
Freshly caught octopus legs grilled to a crisp, paired with local Xynisteri white wine
Remember to order Halloumi cheese (cheese that screams!)
Day 2: Traveling through 3,000 years + getting tipsy at the winery
🚗 Rent a car and drive yourself (recommend "rentalcars" for price comparison, starting at 30 euros/day)
Kurion Archaeological Park
You can imagine the gladiator battle while sitting in the Roman theater
The mosaic floor painting is very well preserved, take a photo of the goddess girl in a white dress!
In the afternoon, we rushed to Kolonossi Castle Winery.
Try 5 wines for 12 euros. Commandaria, which is so sweet, is a must-try (the national wine of Cyprus).
If you buy wine for your neighbors, choose canned red wine (3 euros/can! No need to worry about shipping it).
🌇 On the way back, we passed by "Lady's Mile Beach".
Locals secretly hide wild beaches, and eat watermelons while waiting for the sunset.
📝Note tips:
[One] There are few public toilets here, but you can order a 1 euro coffee in a coffee shop.
[Two] The seaside city has plenty of sunshine, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun.
[Three] Stay in the old town B&B for 60 euros/night, and eat and drink for 25 euros per person per day. You can visit all the attractions for 50 euros!
[Four] Cyprus is an EU country, so you need to apply for a Schengen visa. Prepare the materials in advance and apply according to the process.
[Five] Euros are used here. Exchange some in China in advance. There are also exchange points and ATM machines in the local area.
