Artigiano

This is the most famous cafe in Tirana. It has a long history and is filled with various antiques, including old-fashioned TVs, various Chinese porcelains, and many other memorable old objects. They are placed everywhere, and it really feels like traveling back in time, making people miss it very much.

For my first meal in Albania, a local friend took me to eat seafood. Maybe he wanted to relieve my homesickness with delicious food?

This seafood restaurant called Fishop Tirana looks very inconspicuous. It is located in a small alley in a residential area. There are ordinary shops, fruit and vegetable shops and so on on the side. Bicycles and motorcycles are parked in a mess. The photos taken casually look really like they are in China. The main dishes in the restaurant are all kinds of seafood. Tirana is only a few dozen kilometers away from the Adriatic Sea. The seafood is still very good. It is said that it is an Albanian style. It is also a very popular restaurant in the local area. If you don&rsquo;t make a reservation, there is no seat at all. The actual measurement is indeed very popular. Albanians usually have lunch at three or four o&#39;clock in the afternoon, and dinner is generally after 9 o&#39;clock. The restaurant is almost full at the end of the meal.

It was rare that I was accompanied by a local, so I didn&#39;t have to think about it at all. I left it to my friend to arrange everything. I didn&#39;t know what seafood was served. Anyway, I ordered a full table of seafood salad, fish, shrimp, scallops, grilled fish, and seafood pasta. The taste was good. They were all cooking methods I had never tried before. For dessert, I also tried a local traditional sweet similar to yogurt smoothie, which had a strong lemon flavor and was very refreshing.

In terms of the overall taste, it feels that Albanian cuisine is still deeply influenced by Italy and Turkey, but the Chinese taste buds are still relatively smooth to adapt.
