love is blueI made a reservation online for the afternoon as that was the only time available - 8:45pm. However, we were a little early and they seated us at 8:30pm which was appreciated. It's fancy but reasonably priced. The wait staff was formal but friendly. My mum said the duck was the best she'd ever had. I can't remember what I had (probably meat, there wasn't much choice) but I know I loved it and I probably ate it all! The selection is a little strange for people who don't eat fish or seafood but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

love is blueThe soups, salads and main dishes are healthy and delicious, and the choices are quite diverse. I personally like the meatloaf with homemade ketchup. The restaurant is equipped with plenty of warm children's chairs. In addition, the mixed juice is very popular with children, but the taste of the dessert is not to my personal taste.

love is blueOur hotel (Coachman Inn) recommended this place, we had just arrived in Carmel and the air was like death and heaven. It was dark and we had no idea where we were, let alone a restaurant, until we got to Portabella and everything fell away. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left the restaurant, everything felt like heaven and the service was amazing. The owner, Star (he knows who I'm talking about) and the chef came to our table and asked if we needed anything, they were all amazing and the food was super delicious, I had the beef tenderloin and ate the entire plate. My husband had the rib eye steak and he also said it was delicious. Highly recommend anyone reading this review to try it.

love is blueWe have been eating at Afina since they opened and we are never disappointed. The starters were good, the aperitifs were good, and we ended up splitting the steak which was tender to our liking and tasted perfect. There is a piano by the front door which gives the room a homely feel and the guy who plays it is the best! He does the old standards and requests and we ended up staying for dessert too.
