What travelers say:
I'm still eating Italian and French food tonight [sleeping]. The restaurant is called Modavie. I only ordered an appetizer and a main course, but half of it was left... Foie gras with pear chutney, garnished with hot and sour sauce. Herb-grilled lamb chops, served with roasted potatoes and vegetables. Comments: The lamb chops are really not as good as mine, but it was supposed to be four pieces, but the chef generously made five pieces for me [laughing and crying]. The vegetables are a bit salty... But it's worth praising that the waiter's attitude is super good!

This is a restaurant with a first-class environment and food! The waiter also introduced the menu to us very attentively. After we chose the dishes, he helped us choose a bottle of red wine that went well with it. The live jazz music was the icing on the cake!
The environment is small and feels like a home workshop. If there are many people, you can order a large meat platter, including pork, chicken, beef, etc., which are basically grilled and served with some fresh grilled tomatoes.
Modavie was recommended to me by our hotel staff and it exceeded our expectations! We first experienced a very warm, friendly welcome from Lorenzo, the head waiter at Modavie. Lorenzo was fun, gregarious and very accommodating when we asked to move to a table next to the fireplace (which was very cozy, but too hot!). Our server, Rachelle, provided excellent service while double checking with the kitchen to accommodate our gluten free request. I ordered the lamb chops and it was the best meal I have ever had in my life, a must on the menu! The live jazz music at dinner provided a wonderful background of entertainment while we enjoyed a wonderful meal.
I was in Montreal for a national/international conference and was very happy to eat at this restaurant. The owner, Lorenzo, came out to greet us and personally made sure we were happy with our table and the service. The chef was amazing (the lamb chops, sea bass, and pasta were all excellent) and we were all very happy with the food. The crème brûlée was the best pudding in the world.
