Newfoundland is an island at the "end of the world" and one of the four largest fishing grounds in the world. The cod here is the most authentic Atlantic Cod. Almost every restaurant has it, with various cooking methods and different flavors. I eat cod for every meal in Newfoundland! I love it so much!! Because of the fishing industry, many chefs have come here to open restaurants and explore the food. The most famous one must be Raymonds. However, because I didn't want to eat Fine Dining, I went to its sister restaurant. The high ceiling is particularly bright, the open kitchen and the wrap-around bar make the environment more relaxed. ▪️ᴘᴀɴ ʀᴏᴀsᴛᴇᴅ ᴄᴏᴅ ▫️sᴋɪɴ ᴏɴ ᴄᴏᴅ ʟᴏɪɴ, ᴄɪᴅᴇʀ ʙᴇᴜʀʀᴇ ʙʟᴀɴᴄ, sᴇᴀsᴏɴᴀʟ ᴠᴇɢᴇᴛᴀʙʟᴇs Super large fried cod fillet The fish skin is slightly charred and crispy. The fish meat is cut according to the texture and is very tasty. The unique fresh and delicate taste of cod is topped with apple cider white sauce... I finished a plate in minutes and couldn't get enough of it. ▪️ᴠɪɴᴇɢᴀʀ ᴘɪᴇ ▫️sᴀɢᴀᴍɪᴛᴇ ᴄʀᴜsᴛ, ᴛᴇᴛʟᴇʏ ᴛᴇᴀ ɪᴄᴇ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴍ, ʟᴏᴄᴀʟ ɴᴇᴡғᴏᴜɴᴅʟᴀɴᴅ ʙᴇʀʀɪᴇs A very old traditional dessert with very simple ingredients Milk, eggs, butter, flour and sugar, plus a little vinegar. The taste is very similar to lemon pie, with a subtle sour taste at the beginning, and then it is pulled back to the sweet taste of normal desserts, and it can linger in the mouth for a long time. Paired with jam made from Newfoundland's specialty berries and ice cream from the traditional tea brand Tetley Tea... I love the whole plate!
