We went to Red Fish Blue Fish on the waterfront in Old Town Victoria on Thanksgiving weekend, October 13, 2024. This restaurant was recommended by many people, including our family, so we decided to give it a try. We had Pajo's in Vancouver, and some people said this restaurant was even better in Victoria. We arrived around 12:30 pm and it was a nice sunny day. We parked in the parking lot by the waterfront, which costs about $3 per hour. It took about 5 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. We saw a long line and waited about 20 minutes before it was our turn to order. After ordering, it took about another 10 minutes to get the food. There are no waiters here, you need to pick up your own food and find a place to sit or stand at the bar. We ordered fish and chips with cod and flounder, and also tried the spicy fish taco and a cup of gumbo. The fish and chips were good, but not what we expected. The crust was very crispy and the fish was fresh and not fishy. However, we were not particularly excited about the tacos, probably because we are not used to Mexican-style fish tacos.
