I think it's clear by now that I have a favorite Japanese restaurant in Barcelona (which I won't name because it's not the point of this post) and that I've had difficulties trying something different for lunch. But my wife’s birthday seemed like a good opportunity to change and discover something new. So I booked a table for two at Kibo Taberna.I had read very good things about that restaurant, and I knew already that the price wouldn't be the same as at my favourite place because there was no daily set: my credit card was ready ????I don't mean that Kibo Taberna is especially expensive. Japanese restaurants in general are expensive.I must admit that I was scared I would be disappointed because I thought nothing would be like my favorite restaurant. Indeed, Kibo Taberna is different. But different is good too ????We ordered 5 dishes and all of them were good, some of them even spectacular, like the Kibi Roll. The staff was very friendly and tried to help during the whole meal. The venue itself is probably the least good part of the experience: it's very simple. Not that a restaurant needs to look spectacular but don't expect much on that side. Finally the price... €84 for 5 dishes and 2 drinks is expensive. We ate enough with these 5 dishes, not too much, enough, so we can count that €40 per person is what we can expect to pay at Kibo Taberna. In conclusion, I will come back (maybe at night for the price) because, to be honest, that other restaurant apart, in terms of taste, I think Kibo Taberna is the best sushi restaurant I've tried in Barcelona so far.Quality & taste: 9/10Quantities: 8/10Atmosphere: 7/10Originality: 9/10Ratio price / quality: 8/10Service: 10/10How I felt afterwards: 9/10

The person has been really nice with us. We’ve been talking a lot of since we were alone in the restaurant. It was empty. The food was all home made and delicious. However the prices were very high and finally wrongly applied at the end. We finally payed 21€ for 2 desserts! And appetizers have been charged. It was a pity at the end surprised with the bill although we enjoyed a lot talking with the owner. Take it as a constructive feedback please, feedback is also a gift 😉

We had an amazing night here! The food was incredible and came quickly to the table, and the waiters were incredibly attentive. The dinner show was fantastic, with very talented performers and a great atmosphere. It’s important that you read the dress code, fortunately we did and were fine but I’ve seen some reviews saying people got turned away. Men have to wear a collared shirt (I saw some men in short sleeve and also polo shirts) and no shorts or sandals. If you want an intimate quiet meal this definitely isn’t the place for you, and there is a minimum €70 spend per person, but this is easily achieved!

The store just opened when I arrived. The staff was very pleasant and took care to make the food. His English was great which was helpful as I am a tourist. The food was delicious and prices reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to try something other than tapas!

I didn't expect to have such authentic Vietnamese food. It's not far from my hotel. The pho is great, the spring rolls and shrimp rolls are also very delicious. Sweet and sour, it melts in your mouth. I finished with a cup of milk tea, which was unforgettable. I wanted to go to a good place that is not well known, and I came to this restaurant. If you want to experience Asian life, then come to this cafe. This is a Vietnamese cafe, all Vietnamese recipes, and it is completely vegetarian. The website introduces the history of this place. There are no detailed recipes here, but they are made according to the origin of the dishes. If you are in a country where the meals are basically fresh vegetables and fresh herbs, it should not be difficult for you to eat vegetarian.

I really recommend having pizzas at that place as they are based on fresh ingredients, very well cooked and there is nothing to complain about.
