Changbai Korean Autonomous County belongs to Baishan City, Jilin Province. It is located at the southern foot of Changbai Mountain and the right bank of the upper reaches of Yalu River. It is located in the middle latitude and has a high terrain. The county belonged to &quot;Liaodong Outer Border&quot; during the Qin Dynasty. It belonged to Canghai County in the early Western Han Dynasty and later to Lelang County. It belonged to Goguryeo from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the early Tang Dynasty, and later to Fengzhou, Yalu Prefecture, Xijing of Bohai State. After that, it was renamed Changbai Tribe, Jurchen Changbai Mountain Tribe, and Changbai Prefecture. After the founding of New China, it was successively Changbai County and Changbai Korean Autonomous County.
Changbai Korean Autonomous County is the largest Korean settlement area outside Yanbian Prefecture. It is the place where Tang Bohai culture, Changbai Mountain culture, Yalu River culture, Guandong culture, and Korean culture are inherited. Changbai Korean Autonomous County has a unique Changbai Korean culture in terms of daily life, clothing, eating habits, and customs.
