We discovered a magical resort in Cixi—Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay—which instantly transformed our family trip into a luxurious staycation! We drove there in two hours from Shanghai. Parking is free and ample. Fantawild Oriental Myths and Haipi Island Park are both within a 10-minute drive, and you can even walk to the Hangzhou Bay Wetlands for the evening light show. 🛏️Stay Review: The family suite we booked had a separate walk-in closet and a huge bathroom. My baby loved the large round bathtub (which even included a rubber duck toy). The minibar was fully complimentary and generously restocked daily. I especially appreciated the circular sofa overlooking the wetland park; it was a fantastic afternoon to lounge in the sun and enjoy the view! 🎪Child-Friendly Facilities: • The heated swimming pool has a shallow end and provides armbands for children. • The playground is good for over 2 hours (remember to bring non-slip socks). • The family room has a LEGO wall and a picture book corner. • The restaurant's baby chairs are all Stokke. 🍽️Foodie Highlights: • The freshly made porridge and pancakes for breakfast require a queue, but it's worth it! • The macarons at the Executive Lounge afternoon tea rival those at a professional dessert shop. • We devoured three plates of the ice-drunk crayfish at the seafood buffet dinner. • The Hainanese chicken rice in our room service was surprisingly delicious (available 24 hours). 📸Photography Guide: 1. The outdoor garden lawn (bring picnic props for even better photos). 💡Practical Tips: • 10% off Fantawild tickets at the hotel concierge. • The pool is crowded on weekends, so it's recommended to go before 9 AM or 8 PM. • Late check-out is difficult to negotiate, but you can leave your luggage at the amusement park. • There are few takeout options nearby, so it's recommended to eat at the mall before returning to the hotel. The best part about staying with the kids this time was—you didn't even have to leave the hotel! Everything was catered for, from food and drink to entertainment, so the baby could relax and the parents could relax.
