CD云上The inns at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain are all here. Every restaurant looks the same, with local chicken, wild mushrooms and yak beef soup pots. The weather is a bit cold at night, so it is quite comfortable to come here to eat some soup pot. The chicken should be local chicken, and the portion is okay. The wild mushrooms in the soup are delicious. Drinking some chicken soup and eating some hot vegetarian dishes will make you feel comfortable all over.

After living in Lijiang for a month, I was constantly recommended by taxi drivers, B&B owners, and supermarket attendants. I compiled this list of "locals' go-tos": 1️⃣ Licheng Hotel (Heilongtan Branch) A must-try spot recommended by Lijiang locals, featuring value and local cuisine. Sure enough, I met many locals there, all recommending their aged potatoes and yak beef with garlic sprouts. 2️⃣ Shiquanjiumei Wild Mushroom Cured Pork Ribs (Mufu Branch) A must-try wild mushroom hotpot! The waiter will help you cook the mushrooms and time them, and the combination of matsutake mushroom soup and cured pork ribs is a true masterpiece. 3️⃣ Zhongyi Market This large farmers' market near Lijiang Old Town offers an authentic Lijiang lifestyle. You can buy the freshest ingredients and enjoy affordable and delicious Lijiang-style snacks. 4️⃣ Tianyue Bakery They make their food fresh daily using Queen's flour. The owner says that if they can't sell out by closing time, they'll either eat it themselves or share it with family and friends. 5️⃣ Xiangran Rice Noodles A long-established rice noodle shop, specializing in local pork and no MSG. The most chewy and delicious rice noodles I had during my trip to Yunnan. #LijiangTravelGuide #LijiangFood
