Today, I went to an omakase restaurant hidden inside a five-star hotel. Authentic Japanese cuisine like this is rare in Guiyang. I love omakase because it's always full of unexpected surprises. There's no menu; the chef handles everything. The ambiance is also very upscale, with a dark, Zen-style wood accent. Besides the itamae (banmai), there are also private rooms and private dining areas, accommodating up to eight people. We chose the 1,000-yuan per person itamai (banmai), which came with three appetizers, a sashimi, and a savory dish. Five main dishes, soup, fried food, sake, grilled food, eight sushi dishes, and dessert. ✔️ "Five Sashimi Dishes" Tuna, salmon, bluefin tuna, yellowtail, and red sea bream The chef slices the dishes in order, from light to dark, right in front of the itinerary. It's truly melt-in-your-mouth freshness. ✔️ "Grilled Wagyu Short Ribs" Evenly fattened short ribs with pear flakes mixed with the sauce. It's creamy and chewy. ✔️ "Sushi" There are eight pieces, and they're all amazing! Bluefin tuna, bluefin tuna belly, red sea bream, lobster, swordfish, squid, and yellowtail hand roll. All ingredients are incredibly fresh, but the bluefin tuna belly is my favorite! The rich fat melts in your mouth, and the texture is incredibly delicious. The chef prepares the dishes freshly right in front of the itinerary. It's a visually and palate-stimulating experience.
It’s been 🈶️half a year since I last had itamae cuisine. I’ve been liking this restaurant hidden in Hilton Eastview for a long time. After experiencing it, I think it’s worth recommending. The service is really excellent. They are very considerate from the introduction to the seat. This time I booked 9 dishes, including appetizers, creations, grilled food, sucked food, fried food, teppanyaki, sushi, steamed food, and desserts. The chef 👩🍳 will carefully introduce each dish one by one. He also asked a lot of questions and had a lot of fun chatting~✨- The restaurant has several private rooms. The decoration style is elegant and the room layout is very good. Reservations are required. Remember to make reservations in advance‼ ️ . #Guiyang Japanese food #Guiyang food #Guiyang hotel #Guiyang store exploration #Dating restaurant #Come to take pictures #Weekend store exploration #omakase #Japanese cuisine #Hilton
Japanese restaurants have always been high-end dining places, and the cost is more expensive than ordinary food. However, Japanese food is worth tasting for its exquisite preparation, fresh ingredients, and good restaurant environment. In Guiyang, there are not many good Japanese restaurants, and there are not many high-end and tasteful ones. Unlike the recently popular Japanese barbecue restaurants, a Japanese restaurant called AKARI "Light" opened on the first floor of Guiyang Hilton Hotel. It was created by Guiyang Hilton Hotel and is worth experiencing. I would rather call it one of the best Japanese restaurants in Guiyang. Apart from anything else, in terms of the entire restaurant environment, there are not many in Guiyang that can reach this level. After all, it is a big project of a big hotel. Also, international five-star hotels have their own set of food supply chains. At the very least, when eating Japanese food here, you can guarantee the authenticity and freshness of the ingredients, and you can feel at ease. 🖼Restaurant environment: The overall decoration of AKARI "Light" restaurant is in dark gold style, with few colors. The combination of lights and colors makes the whole restaurant look very quiet. There are private rooms and a hall. The restaurant is divided into a sushi area, a teppanyaki area, and open tables and private rooms. In the sushi area, you can sit down and enjoy the exquisite craftsmanship of the chef. There are five private rooms named "gold", "wood", "water", "fire" and "earth", five styles, each with its own characteristics, which are very useful for entertaining parties. 🌟Highlights: AKARI "Light" Japanese restaurant is different from other Japanese restaurants. It introduces Omakase with the essence of craftsmanship and treats every diner with a "once in a lifetime" attitude. Omakase, to put it simply, means there is no menu. The chef will arrange and prepare the dishes according to the seasonal ingredients. The advantage of this dining style is that there is the joy of opening a blind box and the expectation for the food you are going to taste. Of course, there are also disadvantages. Some Omakase Japanese restaurants may arrange some relatively ordinary ingredients, which has been criticized a lot on the Internet. However, the ingredients of AKARI "Light" Japanese restaurant in Guiyang Hilton Hotel are still very good. After all, I have been there several times. 📍Detailed address: AKARI "Deng" Japanese restaurant on the first floor of Guiyang Hilton Hotel, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City. 🍽Dining recommendations: In the restaurant, you can enjoy sushi and sashimi, and guests can fully experience the craftsmanship of Japanese food. The teppanyaki area of the restaurant is also great, and I really like the decoration. It is very nice to take pictures here. Friends who like to check in should not miss it. I once ate fried rice and teppanyaki here, and the taste was surprisingly good. I recommend it. ❤Tips: The restaurant offers diners a sushi-based set menu at RMB 688 per person, a teppanyaki-based set menu at RMB 1,088 per person, and an omakase set menu that includes teppanyaki and Japanese dishes at RMB 1,288 per person and RMB 2,088 per person. The restaurant is closed every Monday and is open daily from 17:30 to 22:00. #Valentine's Day Eating Story #Romantic Date Restaurant #Food Experience #Food Exploration
Who would understand! After turning three corners in an old alley in the city center, I stumbled upon a Japanese restaurant whose signboard was almost completely obscured by vines. I was immediately stunned by the sashimi platter that arrived, gripping my chopsticks tightly— The sweet shrimp on the ice platter shimmered with a pinkish glow, their heads a translucent, inky black; the Arctic surf clams beside them looked as if they'd been dipped in rouge, even the salmon's marbling was coated with a glistening sheen, and even the lemon slices used for garnish were cut like tiny suns. The key was that the "freshness" of this sashimi was so pronounced that each bite was crisp and satisfying: the sweet shrimp had roe, the Arctic surf clams offered a refreshingly sweet aftertaste, even the wasabi was freshly grated—a touch on the fish slices, and the freshness was so intense you could practically swallow your tongue. [A Complete Guide to Hidden Japanese Restaurants in Alleyways for Foodies] 1. How to find this "hidden gem" Japanese restaurant? Hidden at the third fork in the "Bluestone Slab Alley" in the old town of XX city (location in the comments), searching "Yinxianju" on navigation apps will show it as "out of the way," but just follow the aroma of seaweed wafting through the alley; you'll see a small shop with Japanese-style noren curtains and hemp rope wrapped around the doorknobs. Tip: Opens at 5 PM, don't go too early! The first time I arrived at 3 PM, I waited outside for two hours before the owner opened the door. 2. Must-Order Menu (Sashimi lovers, just copy this): - Signature Assorted Sashimi Platter: It's the platter in the picture! Includes 3 sweet shrimp with roe, 4 thick-cut salmon slices, and 3 slices of Arctic surf clam. The ice platter is lined with freshly shaved ice, and it arrives chilled, served with freshly grated wasabi and handmade soy sauce – one bite and you're blown away by the freshness. - Botan Shrimp Sashimi (Secret Recipe): Must be ordered one day in advance. The shrimp are thicker than a finger, with a rich, sweet flavor. The owner will peel the shells for you, and even scoop out the shrimp brains to mix with rice. - Complimentary "Hidden Bonus": Ordering the sashimi platter comes with a small dish of pickled radish, crisp and sweet to cut through the richness. After you finish, the owner will ask if you want some "sashimi scraps mixed with rice" (using leftover sashimi scraps to mix with sushi rice – so delicious you'll want to lick the bowl clean). 3. How to eat it like a connoisseur? - First, try the sweet shrimp: The roe-laden sweet shrimp are the most tender. Dip them directly in a small amount of soy sauce, avoiding too much wasabi, to enjoy their natural sweetness. - Next, try the Arctic surf clam: The crispness of the Arctic surf clam pairs perfectly with wasabi. Use chopsticks to rub a little wasabi on the clam meat, then coat it with soy sauce. The crunchy sound when you bite into it is a sign of freshness. - Finally, try the salmon: Thick-cut salmon should be rolled up to eat, allowing the rich, fatty flavor to fill your mouth. The owner says their salmon is delivered directly from the port every morning, and is replaced if it sits for more than 4 hours. [More Than Just Sashimi: The "Slow Romance" of Old Alley Japanese Cuisine] This restaurant only has 3 tables. The owner, a quiet middle-aged man, sits behind the bar wiping glasses. After you finish your sashimi, he'll offer you a warm cup of barley tea, saying, "The shrimp arrived just today, wasn't it sweet?" Long-time residents of the alleyway will come in wearing slippers to get sashimi to go, and the owner will give you an extra slice of salmon, saying, "It's for your kid"—this relaxed feeling, a feeling only experienced by regulars, is more appealing than the elaborate plating of chain Japanese restaurants. After you finish eating, don't leave. The owner will show you his "hidden seafood display case": inside are freshly arrived tuna bellies and Arctic surf clams still purging sand. He'll say, "If you come tomorrow, you can get even fatter tuna." 【Why say "You must try alleyway Japanese cuisine at least once on your trip"?】 We always look for "trendy restaurants" in tourist spots, but true "freshness" is hidden in inconspicuous alleyways: On a chilly evening, slipping into a warm little shop, enjoying a plate of sashimi with a seafood flavor, listening to the owner slowly tell you "what time today's shrimp arrived at the port"—this relaxed feeling of "living life like a delicious meal" is the most precious "treasure" to be found on a trip. Next time you're in XX, skip the crowded Japanese restaurants in the shopping districts. Instead, head into the old alleys and find "Hidden Fresh House" for a plate of sashimi that will "glow"! #AffordableJapaneseFoodWithBeauty #FoodFestival #LocalFoodOnlyAvailable
