Maxim's Palace

I ate at this place a few years ago. It looks very upscale. The price is expensive. The service attitude is OK. The food is quite appetizing. I will go there again next time I have the chance.

A family of three spent more than 700 yuan for a meal. Recommended dishes: shrimp dumplings, steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce, rice rolls with shrimp, barbecued pork buns, squid tentacles, salt and pepper fish, egg tarts, and custard buns.

I went there after 12 o'clock, and my number was 115. I waited for an hour and a half before I could eat. The environment was really good. There were a lot of people, but it didn't make people feel noisy. You can also see the Ferris wheel directly outside the window. Next, I will introduce the food. First, Pu'er tea was served. I don't like drinking tea, but I didn't expect this tea to taste so refreshing. I didn't feel uncomfortable drinking it at all. Then there was the custard lava bun, which was really delicious. When you bite it, the custard flows out directly, delicious. The barbecued pork in the barbecued pork bun was particularly authentic. Chicken feet are a must-order, a Hong Kong specialty, and there are also black bean ribs, which are not bad. The brown sugar tofu pudding is delicious, and the tofu pudding is so tender. The egg tarts look small, but the egg tarts are very solid and bouncy. The shrimp dumplings were originally sold out, but later I saw the waiter carrying a plate of something, so I asked and found out that they were shrimp dumplings. After eating these shrimp dumplings, I found that all the food I had eaten before was in vain. The shrimp inside can be seen completely, and the taste is super good. This is a time-honored restaurant in Hong Kong. You have to walk a distance after getting off Central Station. I finally found this restaurant after going around. It is on the second floor of the City Hall and is very quiet. I took my parents to have dinner there. We only ordered dishes and no dim sum in the evening. I thought we would have to queue up, but I didn't expect to be seated as soon as we entered. As soon as we sat down, someone greeted us and asked what kind of tea we wanted. The service was proactive and enthusiastic. We ordered the honey-glazed barbecued pork king, which was very authentic, delicious but not greasy. The signature tofu pot is very fresh, with clams, shrimps and other seafood seasonings. It is worthy of being a signature dish. My father likes this dish very much. I also like the lemon juice soft chicken, which has a sour and sweet taste and the chicken is very tender. There is also a shrimp ball that I don't remember the specific name, which is also a signature. I posted a picture. The super-large shrimp is served with nut salad sauce. It is super satisfying to take it in one bite. The four-season lotus leaf rice is also good, but we couldn't eat it anymore, so we packed it up. It is very common to pack up here, and there is no waste of food.

A famous dim sum restaurant in Hong Kong, I came here specially to check in. It opens at 11am, and the line has already stretched to the elevator entrance around 10:40am. Fortunately, I got my turn in the first round. The interior is indeed magnificently decorated, and the hall is also very large. You don't even need to order dishes, there will be waiters pushing dim sum carts constantly shuttling back and forth, just take whatever you like and eat, the taste is good and very delicate. There is no need to say much about the variety, all Hong Kong-style tea restaurants are similar.

Maxim's Palace is a very famous restaurant in Hong Kong. They also have Maxim's Cake Shop under their umbrella! There must be a reason why the old brand has remained standing. The lava buns and shrimp dumplings are must-order dim sum, just like the rice dumplings. They are all my favorites. I can't finish the ice lemon tea, so I pack it up because I drink tea the whole time. The chrysanthemum tea is delicious, but of course there is a tea fee.
