This time, perhaps because there were fewer customers, the service was much better than before. Dining here provides unlimited refills of miso soup, cabbage, pickles, and iced burdock tea. Although I have not tried this restaurant in Japan, the main bowl they recommend is of authentic Japanese quality. Today I tried the limited new rice bowl - the Shanghai Scallop Bowl, which contains 3 shrimps, a whole scallop cut in half, wild rice shoots, maitake mushrooms, eggplant, glutinous rice peppers and eggs. The large scallops are cut in half, wrapped in seaweed and fried together to retain the soft and tender taste of the scallops. The shrimp portion consists of one large prawn and two larger shrimps of normal size. The shrimp meat is fresh, the coating is thin and transparent, and the meat is chewy and not dry. The maitake mushrooms have a rich and fresh flavor. The halved wild rice shoots are super juicy and still retain a fresh and crispy taste after frying, which is very praiseworthy. It is a very good new dish.
