A friend brought this wine to a dinner party. I didn't expect that domestic wine has made such great progress. I met the winery at the wine exhibition and made an appointment to visit. It was very beautiful! Very professional! Fortunately, we invited Mr. Fang, a grower, to take us. He talked about many varieties. Although his wine is a single variety, it uses different varieties and different brewing methods to blend. No wonder it has great complexity. The winery is beautiful. The people are very simple. The only thing is that without their people to lead us, we can't go anywhere except wandering around the vineyard. The whole building requires card swiping, and there are layers of access control.

I usually drink wine, but this is my first time to visit a winery. Canaan Winery is in Huailai, not far from Beijing, and can be reached by high-speed rail. It is much cooler here than Beijing. The ticket to the winery is 388. I was a little reluctant at first, but after a careful understanding, I felt it was worth it (there were indeed surprises, which I will talk about later). I made an appointment with the winery in advance. We arrived at the winery at 10 o'clock. The winery had two beautiful young ladies to receive us. They first explained the history of the winery, and then visited the workshop and wine cellar. To be honest, the workshop is not big, not as spectacular as Changyu Great Wall, which is 100 tons at any time. Canaan's workshop is small and exquisite, and most of the fermentation tanks are small tanks. This is quite in line with my perception of boutique small wineries. As for the wine cellar, his is an above-ground wine cellar, not an underground one. It is also constant temperature and humidity, and it is indeed convenient for people and vehicles to enter and exit, but it is estimated that it consumes a lot of energy. And there are really a lot of barrels, 10,000 each, and a room full of RMB. After the tour, it was time for the tasting. Although I usually drink Shibaipian, it still feels different when someone leads me to drink. Don't worry, it's very relaxing, unlike WSET where I have to cheer up. 😁. I don't know if it's psychological reasons, but I feel that the wine tastes good when I sit in the winery. These wines are definitely worth the price. Because I came a little late, I had lunch here at noon. Here comes the point. It's a 3-minute walk from the winery and across a small bridge. Then the beauty introduced "We came to the Sino-French Manor". Can you bear it? I spent one price and visited two well-known domestic boutique wineries. Although the little beauty introduced Canaan and Sino-French as sister wineries when I first arrived at Canaan Winery, I didn't pay much attention to it. In the end, there was only a bridge between them. So cool. Can you imagine that experts from China, France, and the United States chose the vineyard and winery in the same place, separated by only a bridge, and there was absolutely no discussion in advance because the winery was built at different times. Hahaha, this is definitely not a coincidence. This gave me a new understanding of Huailai, a production area. In the afternoon, we visited the vineyard and nursery. To be honest, I didn’t quite understand the planting, but there were small animals here, hahahaha, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your children, they can play here all day. There are also vegetables, seasonal fruits, etc. The small watermelon is not ripe yet, it’s too small There are also cultural relics in the vineyard, called Liandun, which is said to be left over from the Ming Dynasty.
