The box is narrow, the food is good, and the waiter is very enthusiastic. Slate garlic shrimp, cumin lamb, good

🔆My friend and I ordered two dishes and were full. Heyuan’s specialty is xiaolongbao, but we didn’t order that. We ordered sea bass and pork rib soup, which were really delicious. 🔆The sea bass is sweet and sour, and it tastes great with raw onions. The pork rib soup contains corn and so on, and there are so many ribs that we didn’t finish it until the end. 🔆Heyuan Soup Dumplings (Dawangtun Direct Store) It is very convenient to take a taxi directly to the store. There is a house number at the door that is easy to recognize, so you don’t have to worry about going wrong. 🔆Southern friends, especially little girls, don’t order too many dishes, it’s very full. #Try the authentic old brand #Local food #Collect the ritual sense of good luck in the New Year #When southerners go to the north for the New Year #I’ll pick hometown snacks
We left at 11:00 am on Sunday, Zhengzhou to Kaifeng. The round trip by high-speed rail and light rail was 18 yuan per 2-hour train. We arrived before midnight, super fast. First stop: Bianliang Songcheng (Little Songcheng) (0 yuan) It wasn't very crowded on Sundays, and there were many ancient buildings there, which I found quite interesting. There were also many restaurants, but we didn't eat there. We wandered around and took lots of beautiful photos. There was a fish pond that was great for photos, and it was free. Second stop: Heyuan Soup Dumplings (40 yuan) It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. You have to try soup dumplings in Kaifeng. The original flavor was 18 yuan per basket, 10 in total. We ordered one basket and two side dishes, which came to over 80 yuan. Don't order the young chicken; it was terrible, tough and salty. Third stop: B&B: Meizhi Garden B&B (43.5 yuan) We saw someone recommend it. It was super cheap, 87 yuan a night, tucked away in a small alley. Best of all, it was within five kilometers of all our attractions! The place was clean and quiet, and there was no noise. There was plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning was so hot I turned it off in the middle of the night. The room was a bit small, but I didn't mind. We need to make the most of our money. Stop 4: Friends Three Twos Cafe, cost 40 yuan. The shop isn't big, but the ambiance is fantastic. It's great for taking photos (see the pictures). The atmosphere was so cozy I wanted to sleep in. The desserts were delicious. The owner has a cat, which is super cute. I also wanted to try the Island Cafe, but we went on a Monday and it was closed. Remember! They're closed on Mondays! Only on Mondays! Stop 5: Wansui Mountain, cost 25 yuan (student ticket). I went specifically to see the iron flower show, and I think it was totally worth it. I arrived around 5:00 am, wandered around for a while, and even tried archery. I watched a small disco, but it was super cold in the evening, so remember to dress warmly. When the disco was almost over, I went straight to the iron flower show to grab a seat. You absolutely have to see the iron flower show. It's amazing! There are even warriors on horseback! Beautiful women! Anyway, it's amazing, right? I also bought a giant potato tower for 10, which was delicious. Stop 6: Drum Tower (spending 0) I took photos at KFC, where there's an elevator that takes me up to the second floor. I stood there and took photos. I thought the photos were better than anywhere else, and the night view was even more stunning. After taking photos, I headed back home, and it was already midnight. The next day, I didn't get up until after 10, packed up, and checked out at 11. Stop 7: Bookstore Street (spending 22) There's a place that sells soufflé for 10, which is absolutely delicious. You must try it. I found a random little restaurant and had fish noodles, but I didn't recommend it. I heard it's fun at night, with lots of stationery stores—a paradise for stationery lovers. Stop 8: Underground Mall (spending 25) Totally packed with small shops and boutiques, so fun to browse, and super cheap. I bought sterling silver earrings for 25. Stop 9: Song Dynasty Imperial River Cruise (spending 19.9) I've never been on a boat before, so I really wanted to. The boat is very stable, so you don't have to worry about seasickness. It's very peaceful, and you might even see a black duck or two. After the boat ride, we were across from the Qingming Riverside Park, which we didn't visit, but we did use the restroom at the visitor center. After a short break, Last stop: another soup dumpling. This time, I ordered the shrimp version, costing 40.
I went to Kaifeng over the weekend, primarily for the food. While digesting my food, I visited a few off-the-beaten-path spots that weren't too tiring. The most convenient thing about Kaifeng is that all your destinations are so close together. Besides the high-speed rail station, almost all transportation is handled by shared bikes. Here are a few good recommendations: ✔️ Li Ji Five-Spice Bean Paste ✔️ Taling Dessert's Gaiwan Tea and Sweet Potato Ice Cream ✔️ Heyuan Soup Dumplings ✔️ Li Xinmin Peanut Cake ✔️ Aunt Cao's Chicken Leg Braised Pancakes All of them are delicious. #LocalFood #TryAuthenticOldBoutiques #LocalSpecialSnacks #KaifengTravel #HenanTravel
