Mangya City is a small oil town. Most of the people living here are oil workers. It's close to Xinjiang, so many RVs also come here for technical secondary school. We were stranded here due to a travel code issue. We've been here for another week now. Today, I'm compiling a list of the restaurants I tried in this city! . ⭕️Da Jiao Sheng Kang Lamb Restaurant We think this is the best place for kang kebab lamb. It's full of flavor, and it's cooked over a high flame. Even the potatoes are as crispy as chips. However, the lamb isn't very chewy. The large lamb skewers are also very satisfying. (Sheng Kang Lamb 88/jin, Large Lamb Skewers 12/piece) ⭕️Da Hu Zi Catering This restaurant looks quite formal. Their kang kebab lamb is made with lamb chops. The chunks are large and chewy, but not very flavorful. Lamb skewers are 5/skewer. ⭕️Lao Chen BBQ This restaurant's lamb skewers are 1.5/skewer. Two people can eat 20 skewers. The food is quite good and the place is crowded, but the service can be slow. ⭕️Zhang's Beef Offal Soup This offal soup is a bit hidden away, but the food is delicious. The owner is very talkative, and there's a map of noodle restaurants across China on the wall. Qinghai is known for offal soup! Beef Offal Soup There's a lot of meat (after all, it's over 20 yuan a bowl). Each portion comes with a sesame seed bun and chewing gum. Free soup refills are available. ⭕️Haohao Breakfast House We went for the spicy Hu La Tang. It's not as spicy as the Henan Hu La Tang. It pairs well with shengjianbao (a traditional Chinese bun) and mutton noodles. ⭕️Yak Bone Strengthening Soup at Xining Wuyi Lamb Intestine Shop This shop is run by a halal uncle. The taste is quite good. Their specialty is the yak bone strengthening soup. If you're concerned about hygiene, why bother... The uncle grabbed the beef right in front of us without gloves... He grabbed a handful of yak meat... and cleaned his ears... We had a bowl of yak bone strengthening soup noodles, a roujiamo (a Chinese roujiamo), and lamb intestine noodles (total 52 yuan). There aren't many Heytea, Coco, Nayuki, or Yidiandian (a Chinese idiom) in the Northwest. My source of happiness comes from Mixue Bingcheng! Milk tea for 6 yuan a cup! Bakeries can be found at the Huatugou Farmers' Market! The city is full of restaurants and vegetable shops! No worries about finding ingredients for cooking! . ⭕️Nearby Attractions Aiken Spring (difficult to navigate 🚗 Drone viewing spot) Mangya Emerald Lake (less crowded, beautiful green brine) .
