The place is very hidden and not on any rankings. I was brought here by a friend who is a native of Quanzhou. The boiled shrimp is very fresh and the sauce is just right. The fermented bean curd pork feet is a bit heavy, and the thick layer of oil at the end is a bit scary. The three dishes are all fried food, which is too oily. The crispy pork is really delicious, but the other two are too hard to eat. The earthworm jelly is my favorite Fujian dish, and it must be cleaned. The seafood noodles are super super large! Be careful if there are less than four people, you will definitely not be able to finish it! ! The fried clam is average. It is windy in the lobby at night and a bit cold.
[Quanzhou's Hidden Michelin Star‼ ️ Minnan Cuisine in an Alley] Who would have thought that hidden in the winding alleys of Quanzhou, there's a low-key, star-studded Minnan cuisine restaurant! I almost got lost following the navigation into a residential area, but the moment I took my first bite of earthworm jelly—it was worth it! 🔥 🍽️ Haoting Minnan Bistro (Nanjun Branch) 📍 No. 24 Gongjie Lane (I recommend following the navigation slowly; there's a large banyan tree at the entrance) 🔸Must-Order Three-Piece Set: ▫️ Fried Shrimp with Mustard Sauce: The crispy coating wraps the tender shrimp, and the mustard sauce is a masterstroke! It's not pungent at all, but rather refreshing. ▫️ Earthworm Jelly: The pride of Quanzhou! The sandworms are as chewy as jelly, and they're super clean. Perfect with garlic sauce. ▫️Shen Shanghai Oyster Omelette: Unlike the Xiamen version, the addition of sweet potato starch makes it even more glutinous, and the oysters are so filling! 🔸Hidden Menu: Yongchun Vinegar Pork Knuckle is sweet and sour, and the collagen is lip-smacking; the tofu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, soaking up the broth and going great with rice. 🏠 The setting is an old-fashioned Minnan house, with red brick walls and 8-person tables. The waitresses greet you warmly in Minnan dialect. Be sure to avoid meal times; it's always packed on weekdays! 💡Tips: 1. The alley is narrow and difficult to park, so we recommend taking a taxi to the alley entrance and walking. 2. The earthworm jelly is limited daily and may sell out after 4 PM. 3. With over 60 yuan per person, you'll be stuffed. Remember to order a pot of Tieguanyin tea to cool down. #QuanzhouMust-EatList #Southern FujianTraditionalTaste #MichelinRestaurants #AlleyFood #EarthwormJellyChallenge
Don't just eat ginger duck in Quanzhou! This small Minnan restaurant offers a plethora of authentic flavors. 🔥 Who says Quanzhou only has ginger duck? This Minnan restaurant tucked away in a small alley had me eating there three days in a row! They offer everything from street food to banquet-style dishes, and the hour-long queue is worth it! 🍤Haoting Minnan Bistro (Nanjun Branch) 📍No. 24 Gongjie Lane 🕒11:00-14:00 17:00-21:00 This is the first time I've seen fried shrimp take it to such a high level! The mustard-fried shrimp are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the special mustard sauce makes them incredibly delicious. The Yongchun Vinegar Pork Trotter is sour, fragrant, and tender. Even my friends who don't eat pork trotters were eager to try it! The earthworm jelly is chewy and smooth, while the deep-fried Shanghai oysters are crispy and fragrant. Each dish boasts "Southern Fujian Specialties." Lines are common during mealtimes, so we recommend visiting during off-peak hours. The private dining room on the second floor, reminiscent of a traditional house, is a truly impressive experience. Treating guests to a meal is a real treat! You can fill up on food for just over 60 yuan per person—a fantastic value! Afterward, you can even stroll through the nearby alleys to digest your food. There are tons of traditional snacks waiting for you! #QuanzhouFood #SouthernMinCooking #AncientTaste #QuanzhouTravel #AlleyFood
