Shaxianmiaomenbianroudian

A well-known snack bar in Shaxian. The store is not big, but relatively clean. There were not many people when I went there. This time I ordered taro dumplings, which were cute in triangular shape. The taro dumpling skin was very chewy and tough, and the filling contained bamboo shoots, meat, green onions, etc. It was delicious.

Shaxian snacks are famous all over the world. Eating snacks in Shaxian is a must for every tourist who comes to Shaxian. I have eaten at the top restaurants in the reviews. I think the most down-to-earth ones are Miaomen Bianrou and Jialan Shaomai. The rest seem to have all kinds of food, but in fact most of them have become tourist restaurants. Miaomen Bianrou uses exquisite ingredients and traditional craftsmanship. It has a chewy texture and large fillings, which is well-deserved. (Haha, even advertising language is used)

I came here to find this restaurant as soon as I got off the train. I think it is quite good, with thin skin and lots of meat. I ordered one with soup and one with mixed meat. The mixed flat meat with peanut butter is very flavorful, but the gold-wrapped silver is just average.

There are two Miaomen Bianrou restaurants in Shaxian. One was closed during the Spring Festival. I went to the one near the river, which seemed to be a new branch. The environment is indeed much cleaner than other snack shops. Bianrou is a thin-skin wonton, but I think it is far less delicious than Fuzhou Rouyan, because the skin is almost chewy. But compared with other Shaxian snacks on this street, this one is delicious.

I came here twice to eat the flat meat. Once it was closed too late, so I came the next day at noon. There were still a lot of people. I waited for a long time for a seat at noon. There was no baby chair, so the seats outside were ruled out. Later, we cleaned up the table ourselves while waiting for people to finish eating. It was too chaotic. The flat meat is just a small wonton, and the other tastes are also average, a bit disappointing~
