Masu Island in Shantou is almost the nearest island. The island is filled with a fresh and literary atmosphere, and it seems that every corner is a romantic encounter. 💙 Recommended 🔹 Strolling on the Graffiti Street I like to walk around aimlessly, strolling along the road under the bridge, turning a few corners, and the winding streets and alleys gradually extend forward in front of my eyes. On the left side of the street is a short building, which seems to have a sense of age, but the locals graffiti the building with very distinctive patterns. Looking to the right, the sea water surface floats with the wind, the Shantou Bay Bridge in the distance, and the yellow-roofed cottages nearby are scattered in an orderly manner. 🔹 Island Cafe There is a cafe on this street, an old small building with a terrace, painted all white, and a blue "MASU COFFEE" is hung outside the terrace. This clean and transparent temperament matches the temperament of this island too well. Masu Island is a small island in Shantou, Guangdong. Masu Yujian Coffee is also the only coffee shop on the island. 🔹🔸 The coffee shop mainly features white, blue and orange tones, especially Klein blue, which is particularly eye-catching. Whether it is the logo or the decoration, the combination of the three colors is clean and bright, and it is very photogenic. - There are a wide variety of coffees in the store, and American coffee is 20 per cup, which is a standard price and the taste is relatively mellow. The humid atmosphere has a sense of tranquility. 🚗They say Chaoshan has so much delicious food... Just craving beef hotpot, and we're off! Before coming to Shantou, I'd been collecting recommendations for delicious restaurants. Eating six meals a day wasn't enough! 🤣 💰800 per person😋 We stayed fully satisfied throughout the trip. [👉For itinerary details, please see my separate post: Shantou Itinerary💕] 👉Food Spotting💕 "VIP Beef"☑️ Recommended by a local, the beef is incredibly fresh (and a friend who runs a beef hotpot restaurant in their family has a testimonial). We ordered a group buy and a few à la carte items we couldn't find but wanted, and it was 💰300+ for 5 people, a truly satisfying meal. Although by the end, I couldn't tell one thing from another, the food was delicious. [This was the only beef hotpot we ate out during our four-day trip, which was a bit of a letdown. The other hotpot restaurants were probably pretty good; as long as the ingredients were fresh, the taste was guaranteed. = 'Xinji Goose Intestine Hotpot'☑️ I went for the braised hotpot. The base was perfectly salty, and the ingredients were delicious straight out of the pot, practically without dipping sauce. 'Xinpingyuan Market'☑️ The B&B has its own kitchen, and you can buy your ingredients at the local market. You can get whatever you want, including beef, beef tendon balls, fish noodles, fish skin rolls, and more. It was a good place to sample some, and I stopped by before leaving to buy some meatballs to take home. [Recommendations: The shrimp balls and fish dumplings at Shen Zhenxing Wandian. The fish noodles are also a specialty, so try them if you're interested. I went there twice in four days, which is enough to prove my love for it. Their signature mixed Kueh Chutney can be paired with any of the marinated ingredients. My bestie and I shared a 20 yuan portion and chose four of the ingredients to fill us up. Recommended options include braised pork, large intestine, small intestine, and tripe. If you like your favorite marinated ingredients, you can order double portions.] "Silly Oyster Omelette"☑️ On Huawu Road, they're fried to order. The owner strongly recommends eating in, saying takeout will affect the taste. The crispy oyster omelette with fish sauce is just perfect. It's best eaten hot; it's soft and fishy when cold. The Puning fried tofu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and even more fragrant when dipped in the salty chive sauce provided. I recommend trying a small portion; it's not bad, but it gets a bit bland towards the end. The point is, it's really irritating. "Sugar Scallion Pancake"☑️ I recommend the one on Huawu Road (a few steps from the "Silly Omelette"). Five of us agreed this one was the best. The sweetness was just right, and we didn't feel sick after finishing it. Others we've tried were so sweet we wanted to give up before half a bite. "Raw Pickled Pancake"☑️ I don't know which place my friend ordered takeout from, but I know it was so salty that I drank two large glasses of water before bed. The next day, I developed edema and started drinking coffee. This Chaoshan poison, remember to bring gastrointestinal medicine. Even though I didn't use the toilet, after a few pancakes, my tongue and mouth started itching. 'Riceless Cake'☑️ The name suggests a snack without rice, but it's actually chive cake. I ordered the riceless cake from the Fuhegou Sweet Soup Cake Shop. Remember to tell the clerk the price, otherwise they'll just order the most expensive one. 'Horseshoe Crab Cake'☑️ It's like a salty pork zongzi, but the glutinous rice is replaced with rice cake, filled with shrimp, minced meat, mushrooms, quail eggs, and more, and drizzled with a spoonful of unknown sauce. Two bites and I'm done. 'Sweet Soup'☑️ My bestie ordered the five-fruit soup, and she said, "It's too sweet, I won't order it next time." I ordered something that looked like jelly. I forgot the name, but I think it was jelly. 👉Drinks at the Shop💕 🥤Honglang Coffee I highly recommend this shop. Rice noodle rolls and coffee are a perfect match. The shop is filled with the owner's various awards. Choose your own coffee beans, freshly ground and brewed. 🥤Yujian Coffee On Mayu Island, I recommend the Yugan coffee, which has a sweet aftertaste. The Huangpi coffee is average, with a weak yellow skin flavor and bland flavor after being ground into pulp. The owner said it's been receiving poor reviews and is planning to remove it from the shelves, but I was lucky enough to try the limited edition. 🥤Twelve Sugarcane Ice The ice-making process takes a long time, resulting in a long queue. It's similar to Sanya stir-fried ice, with dried taro strips and popping jelly beans to enhance the presentation. The taste is just okay, with no surprises. The sugarcane flavor isn't prominent, but the passion fruit adds a sweetness that's acceptable. 🥤Zhengjingshang Tea We recommend the Chaozhou Grand Slam. We chose the Yashixiang tea base, and we loved the popping jelly beans. Adding cream makes a full cup. Some drinks don't come in bamboo tubes, so you can choose one to take away. 🥤Yaqiang Juice Ice Many people have recommended it, and even my second-time visitor said it's a must-try.
