A date with Crush? You absolutely have to go to a Black Pearl restaurant! After consulting with friends, we decided to have a candlelight dinner at Waterfront Ten Miles in Vientiane. The ambiance was quiet, the decor elegant and sophisticated, perfect for banquets and dates. The menu was exquisitely designed and tasteful; even the plating looked exceptionally high-class. The restaurant recommended the Hennessy set menu for two, and the wine pairing was truly superb. I especially loved their flavorful soup: a stew of preserved sausage, pork ribs, and abalone with tangerine peel—generous in ingredients, fresh, fragrant, sweet, and very nourishing. Also... Hand-peeled Longjing River Shrimp, The shrimp are translucent and glistening, then topped with tender Longjing tea leaves—sweet, refreshing, and incredibly chewy. The candlelight dinner wasn't just about the food; the Hennessy X.0 in the set menu truly lived up to its reputation—after all, good wine pairs perfectly with good food. The amber liquid poured from the crystal-clear ice pitcher released a rich, spicy aroma that wafted out, followed by hints of candied fruit and fruit. A small sip revealed a smooth, silky finish that lingered on the palate. The flavors of the dishes were elevated to a new level, the wine and food blending seamlessly, leaving a lingering fragrance on the lips and teeth.
