The Atang Salty Congee in Tainan is highly recommended. It takes 20 minutes to walk from Chihkan Tower. The shop is not small, but the salty congee is not as delicious as people say. It has a strong fishy smell and the fried dough sticks are dry, which is far from what I expected.

I ate it once in Taipei and was so satisfied with the place where it originated. I tried it for comparison. Chihkan Tower is the first one in Taiwan. It&rsquo;s a cheese-like dish placed on toast, and the intestine soup inside is good.
