When you come to Taiyuan, you can't miss some classic delicacies and popular snacks. How can you not try the old-fashioned Yuanxiao? Although my legs were numb after walking all day, I couldn't help but complete this stop. The map navigation was wrong, so I walked around for almost a kilometer. In fact, I had passed by. The store door was antique and it also had the feeling of an old restaurant. A bowl of Yuanxiao and a piece of Lianggao (I think that's the name), a total of eight yuan, is also very cheap. Yuanxiao is mixed stuffing. Although Lianggao is cold, it is sweet and delicious. It has red dates and a bit of the taste of Zhen Gao. The service is also good, you can order more or less.

Liuxiang is a famous commercial street in Taiyuan, and the night market here is very famous. It is now very beautiful after renovation. There are many kinds of food in the night market. This Yuanxiao is the most famous one, with a large flow of customers.

After finishing our meal, we weren't quite full, so we happened to find a nearby, time-honored place serving glutinous rice dumplings (yuanxiao), perfect for dessert. The name of this place is quite interesting: Lao Shu Ku (Shou Lao Ku). We ordered a bowl of glutinous rice dumplings, the traditional five-nut flavor, which brought back memories of childhood, but was a bit too sweet for my taste now. We also ordered a liang gao (a cold cake), which was cold and hard, though the sauce on top was okay.

Located on Qiaotou Street, Yingze District, Taiyuan City, it is a very famous old brand. It is often packed with customers and has a reasonable price-performance ratio. It is worth a visit!

The food was mediocre, and the service was terrible.
