It’s not a very long street, but at night it’s crowded and very lively.
✨This Yijing Snack Street recommendation is spot on! It's truly worthy of its reputation as the "ceiling of Taiyuan," as even locals call it. Now that the atmosphere has improved, it's even more reassuring to eat there! 🤩 Number 9 on the must-try list is a must-try! Who knows the joy of luzhu (braised pork) with pancakes and broth until you finish it all? Tripe meat dipped in chives is a divine combination—just thinking about it makes me drool! Sausage and fried jelly with sausage is a Shanxi staple, with a scorching aroma and a killer flavor. Sanjue Roujiamo is the first one at the North Gate—make sure you stick with it! 😋 Roasted brain flower is definitely for the true lover! In the summer, I highly recommend going during off-peak hours; even in the crowded conditions, eating delicious food requires a bit of "battle spirits"! Remember to mark the snack shops south of the South Gate; next time you go, you'll want to spend 100 yuan for two and feel like you're eating 200 yuan! 🔥 Which of your favorites are a must-buy? Taiyuan Zhanchuan (Zhanchuan) is a specialty snack from Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Here's an introduction to it: Origin and Development Taiyuan Zhanchuan originated in the Yijing area in the mid-1990s. At the time, Yijing was located in a chemical industry zone. Restructuring surrounding enterprises resulted in many workers being laid off. To make ends meet, these laid-off workers spontaneously formed a snack street in Yijing, giving rise to the Zhanchuan trend. Zhanchuan gradually became popular throughout the streets and alleys of Taiyuan. Ingredients The ingredients are diverse, primarily soy products and vegetables, such as oyster mushrooms, potato chips, cabbage, and lotus root noodles. Meat dishes like sausages are also available. These ingredients are often skewered on bamboo skewers for easy access. Instructions First, skewer the ingredients, cook them, and let them cool. The sauce is the heart of the Zhanchuan dish, with options ranging from garlic, sesame paste, cumin, savory, spicy, and sweet. The sauce is crucial, ensuring it coats the entire skewers for flavor. How to Eat After selecting their favorite skewers, diners stand at the condiment counter and dip each skewer in their preferred sauce. Each skewer can only be dipped once to ensure hygiene. Pricing Affordable, typically buying five skewers for just 1 yuan, this highly affordable snack is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Cultural Significance Taiyuan Zhanchuan is not only a delicacy but also an integral part of Taiyuan's urban culture. It carries the memories and emotions of Taiyuan residents, bears witness to their development and transformation, and embodies their optimistic and down-to-earth attitude. #Zhanchuanchuan #TaiyuanSpecialFood #ZhenxiangSnacksCollection
🌆Taiyuan's ancient county town has a legendary history! Established 2,500 years ago, it's witnessed countless stories. 😮 Wandering through it at sunset, you can almost feel the glint of swordplay and the bustling streets of yesteryear. 🤩This is also where Emperor Taizong of Tang launched his rebellion! Now, after reconstruction, it's even the filming location for the movie "Man Jiang Hong." So cool! 🎬 In the evening, head to Yijing Snack Street for Taiyuan snacks like bowl trays and fried cold noodles! 😋 #ShanxiTravelGuide #TaiyuanHowTo #TaiyuanFood #HolidayTravelGuide
❤️💙💗Yijing Snack Street on Changfeng West Street in Taiyuan is incredibly lively at night, with its tempting food and incredibly popular crowds. The food here is incredibly diverse and delicious. There's roasted brain, crispy pork belly, sweet potato skin, roasted pig's trotters, rice noodle rolls, fried yogurt, pot cakes, boneless chicken feet, tiramisu, green rice dumplings, sushi—you name it. The prices are reasonable, the ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are irresistible. The preserved vegetable pot cakes, 8 yuan each, are incredibly delicious. The aroma of preserved vegetables complements the fresh meat, and they're piping hot from the grill. The egg rice noodle rolls, 10 yuan each, are filled with egg, radish, lettuce, and pickled beans. They're soft, tender, and incredibly delicious. There are three or four fried yogurt stalls along the street, so I bought a cheaper one and just poured a bag of Jianchun yogurt into it and fried it. It's a good deal at 10 yuan a piece, but the taste is simply incomparable to other places. I recommend buying the larger, ready-made fried yogurt. It's a bit more expensive, so don't miss out. Tips There are parking spaces on the road outside the snack street. 💛💚💜 #MonthlySpecialPlan #MyMidnightDiner #AReallyDeliciousSnacks #RelaxingPlaces #WhereToGoWeekends
