Eight Immortals Tofu, a Tianjin specialty, features eight kinds of seafood and tofu. It's salty and sweet, and the ingredients are rich and fresh, though I struggled with it. The stir-fried hemp chicken is flavorful, with just the right amount of spicy sauce. It's not a local specialty, but it's delicious nonetheless. The salt and pepper rice crust dish is a bit like a snack—crispy and easy to eat. It's made of fried noodles coated in salt and pepper.
This is a seafood restaurant recommended online. I recommend the sea sausage rice and eight-treasure tofu. They are very delicious and the ingredients are fresh. I recommend it!

Transportation 🚗: This time we chose to drive. Tianjin's traffic restrictions include two aspects: one is the tail number restriction, and the other is the morning and evening rush hour restrictions, mainly targeting areas within the outer ring road. Dining 🍚: We tried several restaurants recommended by others, such as Yuehai Xinjin Cuisine, Xiaoman Seafood, Fisherman's Village, Goubuli Baozi, Da Tieshao, and Guxiangzhai. Some were disappointing, and some were highly recommended. Accommodation 🏠: In the Binhai New Area, we stayed at Fengdu (Tianjin Polar Ocean Park Binhai High-speed Railway Station Branch). They have a 4 PM check-out time. A twin room was 228 RMB per night. In the city center, we stayed at the Shuiyoucheng Radisson Blu Hotel, which is very close to the northwest corner… We bought a voucher online for 599 RMB for two nights, which included free parking. Day 1️⃣: We drove to the Fengdu Hotel, which is near the Haihe River Opening Bridge. We ate at Yuehai Xinjin Cuisine for dinner. The seafood eight-treasure tofu and seafood stir-fried pork were delicious! 👍 After dinner, we drove to the TEDA Aircraft Carrier to watch the free fireworks! Day 2️⃣: We spent the whole day at the TEDA Aircraft Carrier. We only watched one stunt car show. However, our child was a little scared because it was very loud… The show times seem to vary each time. Because we had a child with us, we ordered some dishes at the first restaurant on the right-hand side of the main street after the show… It felt like we should have just gone to the KFC nearby for fried chicken… We boarded the aircraft carrier and then took a boat to the destroyer. We didn't go to the submarine. Day 3️⃣: National Maritime Museum ~ Seashell Paradise, Sea Train ~ The National Maritime Museum might not be suitable for young children, it's too dark inside and the exhibits are a bit crowded… We had a lot of fun on the sea train, but the wheels were a bit rusty and made a screeching sound 🤣 We ate lunch at a restaurant in the Fisherman's Village Animation Building, the same restaurant we ate at on the first day, Yuehai Xinjin Cuisine, but the taste and service weren't as good as the first one… In the evening, we had what everyone thought was the best meal of our Tianjin trip, Xiaoman Seafood 👍 We got a number online and didn't have to wait long. We ordered their recommended dishes, the mantis shrimp potstickers were really good, they were huge! Clam rice, and a squid. Aside from parking being difficult, everything else was fine. After dinner, we headed to the city center, just after the license plate restriction period ended. Day 4️⃣ In the morning, we went to the northwest corner for some delicious food! Staying close by has its advantages, you can go early and avoid long queues. For example, the jianbing guozi (Chinese crepe) vendor cut it in half for you, and Erjie fried cake was also delicious. The pear syrup was a bit hard to appreciate… the rolled noodles were a bit too dense and salty… the crispy rice crust with vegetables was alright… the millet porridge tasted a bit like sesame paste… After eating our fill, we started our city walk. We went to the Italian Style Town, Fifth Avenue, saw the Century Clock, saw the Tianjin Eye, and rode a double-decker bus. In the morning, we had traditional shaved ice at Gu Xiang Zhai. For lunch, we ate at Da Tie Shao (Big Iron Spoon) and waited a while for a table; definitely don't order the pork kidney dish… In the evening, we ate at Goubuli (Goubuli), which was a bit expensive and not as good as the steamed buns from our park… and the vegetables were even worse, a real disaster!!
